When the girls returned to their dorm, the sun was beginning to set and in a few short hours, the moon would take its place. But that didn't mean that the girls were feeling fatigued already. After fighting off the Trix and their lackies, they were beyond exhausted.

Which explained why sleep came so easily to Kalani. And like clockwork, the spirit that was yet to have a physical body visited her in her dreams, but this time in a different location of the castle. This time, they were in a forest.

Trees were all that could be seen for miles around. And Kalani could only guess that they canopied the top of the forest as well. In the far distance, she could make out three white foxes running through the trees, birds were singing, and deer were grazing the plains for berries and other shrubs.

What do you think?

The voice suddenly questioned, knocking Kalani back a few steps as she didn't expect her to pop up in her head. "It's nice. But I thought white foxes were only found in the colder regions?" The voice laughed—another thing Kalani didn't expect.

That's because those aren't foxes, Anika. Foxes don't have horns, nor do they have retractable wings.

Kalani blinked once, twice, thrice, before taking a good look at what she believed to be a fox and she realized Eli was right. One of the foals turned to face her and that's when she noticed the golden horn, but there were no signs of wings anywhere, they must've been tucked away.

Legend has it that before we magic folk learned our ways, the alicorns were the original celestial beings— after the celestial dragon, of course.

Kalani was quickly pulled from her thoughts upon hearing the name. "Oh yeah! Bloom and I— she's my friend from earth— We've been having these strange dreams, and I learned that my parents had anot... chi... El..."

But before she could get the chance to ramble, the air shifted. Something was wrong, the air atmosphere grew colder, and the sun was pushed to hide behind dark clouds, almost as if a storm was nearing. But that made no sense as just a second ago, the sun was beaming down.

And what did you learn, Kalani?

The second warning sign, she called her by her name. She'd only called her Kalani during their first few encounters. But she responded, nonetheless. "W— we learned that my parents..." She trailed off.

Her brain was quickly growing hazy and suddenly, she'd forgotten what she was talking about in the first place. "Eli, what was I talking about?" Kalani eyes felt extremely heavy, she felt ready to pass out at any second.

You were telling me about your time at Alfea, remember? You were explaining what happened at the day of the rose.

Kalani nodded her head in understanding before explaining the fiasco of the festival, but the truth was, she'd never truly understand, not until the time was right.

When Kalani opened her eyes again, she was rudely met by the sun filtering its light through her bedroom window, catching her off guard and momentarily blinding her. She rushed to rub her eyes in an attempt to soothe the burning.

Once that subsided, she propped herself up and stretched her body, stopping once she heard a loud 'pop' in her lower back. After what felt like a lifetime, Kalani got up and prepared for the day.

For once, she took her time to get ready, something that she felt that she was deserving of after the events of yesterday— regardless of the fact that it was nothing but a hazy memory that she couldn't recall.

Kalani tried to remember anything from yesterday while she fixed one her two buns, but anything that happened before the fight with the Trix was nothing but a distant memory. While deep in thought, three knocks rapped against her door, a few seconds later four more knocks.

The loud noise quickly pulled her out of her thoughts as she rushed to answer the door and cease the incessant knocking. She swung the door open and the first thing she noticed (or felt), was three knocks against her forehead, something that wasn't any better

"Ouch!"  Cried Kalani as she rubbed her temple. The perpetrator that she quickly realized the Stella let out a teasing chuckle before checking her nails. "Finally! I thought I'd have to blast the door down to get your attention." Kalani rolled her eyes before turning on her heels and heading back over to her vanity.

"Thanks for that, by the way." She snipped at Stella as she continued to fix her hair before moving on to her makeup, something that she had to use to hide the nasty bruises from the fight with the Trix.

Stella looked out of the corner of her eyes and saw her friend beating her face, and quickly deduced what for. "You know, Flora has some healing elixirs somewhere around here. With a quick sip of that, your hideous bruises'll be cleared in no time!"

She gestured to her face that was free of any scratches, bruises or scaring, a huge difference compared to her appearance yesterday. "See? I looked like the bride of Frankenstein just twelve hours ago, and now I look like the gorgeous Solarian princess that I am."

Although she was annoyed by her friend's intrusion, the piece of information was helpful. "Does she leave them for anyone to grab or can I ask her for one?" She asked. Stella took a second to respond as she was buffing her nail with a file from who knew where!

"They're on the coffee table in the living space. The liquid is a bright blue, nearly impossible to miss." Kalani quickly got to work on removing the makeup with wipes, unveiling the bruises that were turning black and blue, a sight that nearly made her consider skipping classes for the day.

She rushed out of her room and into the living room, where she saw Musa, Flora and Tecna all drinking one of the nature fairy's remedies. And she saw it with her own eyes as Flora's bruises faded away until her skin was its normal tan and the laceration on her forehead closed, leaving no signs of an injury ever being there in the place.

Once the three girls noticed their roommate standing in the hall, wordlessly, they gestured to the potions sitting in the glasses. Kalani grabbed up and took a apprehensive sniff at the liquid. "It's made from Dreligans leaves, Melodium root and a bit of mint." So that explained the smell of toothpaste.

Kalani quickly took a swig of the drink before swallowing, once it settled in her stomach, she felt her face tingle a bit and ran to grab one of the handheld mirrors that Stella left lying around, where she saw one of the bruises on her cheek fading into a ghastly green.

"You need to drink the entire thing." Chimed Flora as she downed the rest of her drink. "Or else it won't work the way it's intended to." Kalani nodded in understanding before drinking the rest of the elixir.

The tingling sensation returned but she didn't move this time, and instead, she waited for the feeling to subside before reaching for a mirror. And safe to say, Flora's remedy didn't fail her. The bruises that were a horrid green just a moment ago, was now completely faded away and in its place was perfectly unblemished skin.

"See? Told you it would work." Stella said as she stepped into the living room, where the other girls were, with the exception of Bloom.

The lack of attendance from their other flat mate didn't go unnoticed by Stella, who was the first to speak on it. "Where's Bloom? I could've sworn that I heard her walking around your room." Flora nodded her head.

"She's awake but told me that she'd meet us in the courtyard when she's ready." Musa was the first one to get up, she rushed over to the door and swung it open before looking on her shoulder and noticing the others looking at her with an odd look.

"Come on, slow pokes. We've been in here for hours." She whined. Tecna checked her phone before responding with: "It's only been twenty minutes." Musa rolled her eyes at her response.

"Long enough for me to grow antsy." Kalani let out a loud laugh, doubling over as she clutched her stomach. "You're always antsy, my dear."
