A/N: I wish I could say I'm sorry but I'm not :)

Lewis nearly choked on the piece of pizza that he'd been chewing before finally spitting it out into a napkin and chucking it into the garbage can a few feet in front of him.

After he spent a few seconds catching his breath, he redirected his attention to Kalani, who wound up roughly patting his back in an attempt to cease his coughing fit earlier but was now sitting where she was before.

"You actually walked in about four seconds after Andrea broke the news to Mike and Vanessa. And had we known that you were planning on coming to Gardenia, we would've found an appropriate point in time to tell you this, but with all that's been going on with Bloom, neither me nor Andrea have been able to actually sit you down and explain everything to you and what exactly that means."

Suddenly, a look of realization dawned on Kalani, and she seemed to shrink in on herself. "So, then that means that mom was going to tell me, and I overreacted?"

Instead of responding, Lewis got up and grabbed two cups before reaching for the bottle of root beer along with the strawberry soda. He poured the cups to an appropriate amount before heading back over to Kalani and handing her the red filled cup.

"I'm sure she'll understand. But you have to understand that whatever was done was to keep you safe until you learned about your magic."

Kalani nodded her head. And together, the two sat in a comfortable silence, only speaking when they needed something.

By the time they were finished, the moon hung itself in the sky and stars danced across the chill air. Lewis decided to escort Kalani to the gates of the college, where she quickly noticed the familiar sight of fiery red hair— Bloom.

"I figured you two would want to start heading back to her parent's place. I'm gonna finish tidying up the room a bit and then I'll meet you two there." Lewis then made his way back to his classroom, leaving the two fairies in front of the gate.

Bloom and Kalani both shared a confused look but shrugged, and then they began walking back to Mike and Vanessa's place. "So how was helping your mom at her flower shop?" Asked Kalani. The message that she sent to Bloom earlier was lingering in her mind and she was a tad curious as to why she never responded.

"It was... oddly peaceful? I think with a little bit of practice, I'll be back into the swing of things in no time!" Seeing Bloom smile after the last few weeks that she'd been having was far more than enough to plant an identical on Kalani's.

"And how was your visit to your mother and father?" And just as quickly as it appeared, Kalani's smile vanished in a split second, her face morphing into one of discomfort as she fiddled with her fingers— a nervous tick that she developed over the years.

"The visit to see my dad was great. We ate pizza and garlic knots, ate tiramisù and drank our weight in sodas. But the visit to see my mom was a little less than great. I'll better explain when we..."

Kalani trailed off as her eyes followed the blur of a familiar purple moped approaching them at breakneck speed. Before they could blink, the two girls were blinded by the obnoxiously bright lights of Mitzi's bike.

"Aw, did your little visit to town bum you out, little Lani?" She asked. Once again, she spoke to Kalani as if she was a baby that couldn't understand English, only riling her up to no end.

"And why would that matter to you, Mitzi?" Her lip curled at she spat out her former classmate's name, unknowingly triggering her magic that formed in little golden wisps. But once Kalani felt Bloom firmly grasp one of her hands, she took a deep breath, allowing the magic to dissipate into nothingness.
