Kalani decided to accompany Bloom on her trip to the apartment to ensure that she had everything she needed. "I don't know if I've said this before, but you look stunning." Bloom complimented.
Kalani couldn't help but smile once she heard Bloom's compliment. "Thanks. Now, let's get you ready for that dance. I wanna see some jaws drop!" Kalani remained by the door while Bloom took the opportunity to get dressed.
But just a few seconds later, a green and yellow chest floated itself out of Stella's room and out of the door. Bloom came behind the chest yelling "That's Stella's jewelry chest! Help me get it." Without hesitation, Kalani picked up the end of her dress and began running alongside Bloom after the chest.
The chest took them to the lawn where it began shaking and eventually opening. A faint hue of blue surrounded a golden necklace, and a golden seashell began floating in the air, as opposed to the other pieces that dropped with the chest.
But the necklace didn't remain floating for very long as it quickly dropped to the ground. And in that moment, Bloom realized just what was going on. "How could I be so stupid?! Of course, it's the Trix!" Kalani quickly caught on to what she was implying.
"They used the eggs as a diversion so that while we were rushing to fix the eggs, they were able to nab Stella's ring and get away completely unnoticed. Even I have to admit that that's probably one of the most underhanded things I've ever seen in my life."
A low mutter of respect fell from her lip although it was carried in the wind. Bloom chased after the ring along with Kalani who was trying her hardest to keep up, but the length of her dress was making things a bit more difficult.
The ring led them to a tall field of stalks that were growing upright from the ground. If it went into the field, then there'd be almost no chance of ever getting it back. Bloom ran ahead and managed to tackle the ring box in midair.
But the damage was already done, and they'd unknowingly walked right into a convoluted plan created by the three witches. "Hmm, you would think that they would be here somewhere to watch their plan fall apart by two measly fairies, guess not," Kalani muttered as she and Bloom began their walk back to their shared apartment.
"Nosey little fairies." A voice broke from in the stalks right before the witches crawled from the field. "Why don't you mind your own business?" Kalani rolled her eyes as she and Bloom turned to face the Trix, but they were feeling very different emotions.
"You would think that after the first fight, you'd learn to never come near us, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to give you a better example." At this point, she's already taken off her strappy gold heels and threw them to the ground.
"Uhm, Lan, this can't be a good idea. Last time you managed to beat them because you had Stella to teach you how to use your magic, but she's inside. So, I think that you should tread lightly."
It was true and she knew it. The only reason that she managed to hold her own against the Trix and their ogre was because Stella was with her to guide her on using her magic but now that the fairy was indoors with the others, there was a chance that she wouldn't be able to hold her own.
"For the time in my life, I'm inclined to agree with the obnoxious redhead, princess." The title princess rolled off her tongue as if it were an insult, and if the tone of her voice wasn't enough to tell both girls that the name was meant to be demeaning then the sneer of her upper lip surely was.
But Bloom remained clueless at the insinuating nickname that Icy spoke nonetheless. "You pesky fairies never know when to mind your own business. I hope you're ready." Icy was the first one to move.
