He walked around carefully, keeping an eye out for any possible threat. He was mildly stressed, he and Leon had gotten separated during their mission, thankfully their radios were still functioning, so they managed to tell each other where they were and come up with a meeting point. They were pretty much on opposite sides of the town.

With a tight grip on his gun, he stayed in a somewhat hidden area, he clearly had arrived first, so now he had to wait for Leon to come too. (M/n) was silently waiting for him, considering just going and looking for him, but he decided against it, if Leon needed help he would tell him.

He turned his sight to the general direction where Leon should be coming when he saw something. It was rather far away, but he didn't need to see her up close to know who she was.

Ada.

Ever since what happened in Spain she had been showing up everywhere (M/n) went, which also meant where Leon went, he hated seeing that superior expression on her face whenever they met. Every time he sees her, he remembers the same words she told him back then, the first time he met her.

He was injured and Leon had gone to find something to help him, he argued that he was alright but of course, the blond continued being stubborn and had left him in one of the rooms in the castle. She and Leon had an encounter a few hours ago, but he hadn't had the chance to confront her back then.

And now, there she was, landing gracefully on her high heels, acting like being here was just another day in the office for her. The smirk on her face grew when she saw (M/n) injured on the ground, and she crouched in front of him, pulling his hair roughly to have him make eye contact with her.

"Stay away from things that aren't yours," she glanced at the door from where they could hear Leon running and fighting Iluminados. (M/n) wanted to get up and help him, but he would only inconvenience Leon further, "He's mine, his heart belongs to me."

She let go of him and got out the same way she entered, in an instant.

Her words made (M/n)'s blood boil, his jaw clenching and fists closed tightly, grunting as he tried to stand up to chase after her. He hated how she referred to Leon as a 'thing', first of all, he wasn't anyone's property to toss around whenever, and second of, Ada would never love Leon like he did.

And seeing her right now brought those memories and anger back, as if it had just happened, but he wasn't injured this time around, so he might as well tell her off.

He opened his mouth to yell at her to fuck off and leave him alone, when he realized that she wasn't walking alone. Leon was holding her hand. He looked tired and he didn't seem to mind the action.

Ada's eyes locked with his (e/c) ones and he saw her smirk as the distance between them shortened with every step they took. (M/n) saw her free hand reaching up, holding Leon's face before the blond could see him across from them, and she leaned closer to kiss him. And of course Leon returned her kiss.

(M/n) rolled his eyes and turned around, walking away from the place and staying hidden behind a wall. It hurt to know that Leon loved Ada, even if it was in a sick and twisted way despite everything that happened between them. It hurt to know that he was the only one that could love Leon the way he deserved to be loved, the only one that could fuck him hard enough to get his mind off of things. In the end, Leon always came back to him, and he had that going for him.

(M/n) heard Leon's boots on the ground and the sound of Ada's grappling hook, seeing her landing on the rooftop of a house a few buildings away from him, looking back at him and wiggling her fingers at him as a goodbye. He looked away and decided it was time to reunite back with Leon.

On his way to the blond, his steps were loud and rough, making Leon turn around at the sound and he saw (M/n)'s pissed expression and the way his body language was clearly showing signs of anger. He swallowed his spit, trying to not feel intimidated by (M/n)'s aura, Leon opened his mouth to say something once he walked close enough, but he couldn't.

(M/n)'s hand reached out to his utility belt around his hips, and pulled him in closer to him, pressing their lips together. Leon moaned as he felt (M/n)'s tongue enter his mouth, the kiss becoming rougher and messy with each passing second.

His arms reached up to wrap around (M/n)'s shoulders, releasing a whimper as he felt him holding their hips flushed against each other with a tight grip.

When (M/n) started pulling away from their kiss, Leon whined and tightened his hold around his neck, attempting to pull him closer and kiss him again, but he couldn't. He opened his eyes, the blue iris almost gone with how dilated his pupils were, a dreamy and needy expression on his face, which made (M/n) smirk.

"Good to know you're safe, Lee," he nodded a few times in complete silence, his mouth slightly opened, "Let's keep going," Leon obediently follow after him, continuing on with their mission.

It was always the same thing.

After every mission, Leon would come and crash over at his place, getting drunk out of his mind, clinging to (M/n) as he loudly whined about how Ada kept appearing at random times and ruining his missions and how mad that made him.

Nothing ever changed, and (M/n) was aware of what gonna come next. Slowly calming his whining and backing away from (M/n)'s body, laying back on the armrest of the couch, staring at the ceiling with a dazed look in his eyes, a deep sigh leaving past his parted lips.

"Even so... I still love her," Leon had an obvious expression on his face, interacting with Ada always left him worn out, but that's where (M/n) would step in to help.

He'll always be there to ease his troubled mind, ignoring his protests and claims of how much he loved Ada, quickly crashing with the way Leon would cling onto him, wanting to feel him closer and deeper, crying and whimpering at the way (M/n)'s voice would whisper in his ear how much he loves him.
