It seemed to be a good day. It should've been a good day... but it wasn't, because (M/n)'s confession was rudely rejected.

In a world where people have a secondary genre, it's a common thing for couples to date and/or mate. The usual was for an alpha to mate with an omega and two betas to be together, and so, he decided to risk it.

That day after they were done with class, (M/n) took a quick shower and changed, before heading to a certain blond's bedroom. He took a deep breath, nervously shifting in place as the sweet smell of the omega came out through the closed door. He lifted a shaky hand and knocked twice on the door.

A hoarse, "Who is it," echoed inside the room, and he felt his heart flutter, biting his bottom lip to try and contain his emotions.

"I'm (M/n), Bakugou, I have to tell you something..." after a few seconds of silence, the sound of footsteps reached his ear and the door was opened, the spiky blond staring at him with a scowl.

"What do you want," he said, already annoyed just by looking at the alpha. He could smell his scent and that disgusted him to no end, cringing as it got stronger when they made eye contact.

(M/n) scratched the back of his neck, blushing slightly at the sight of the omega, and took a deep breath, his sweet scent somehow relaxing him enough. "I like you, Bakugou, would you be my-?" He was interrupted by the cackling sound of the omega's explosion, his palm lit up as his scowl deepened.

"You think I would just date a disgusting alpha like you?!" The words 'disgusting alpha' were pronounced why such hate and disgust they made him tear up, the sweet scent turning bitter and unpleasant. "Just because I'm an omega I have to date a stupid alpha?" He tsked and looked away, slowly closing his door, "Get lost before I blast you into outer space."

The door was slammed harshly, blowing his hair back by the force and hitting his nose. Blood started to tickle down, but he couldn't be bothered by it, his (e/c) eyes filled with tears, slowly dripping down his cheeks and onto the floor, along with his blood.

He stood there for what felt like hours before he heard and smelled a familiar and comforting scent. "(M/n)? What happened?" A pair of cold and warm arms wrapped around his waist from behind, pulling him away from Bakugou's bedroom door. His bloodshot eyes looked into heterochromatic orbs, and his appearance made the smaller male worry. "God, you're bleeding!" He held his wrist and dragged him down the hall to the stairs, "Come on."

Before he knew it, (M/n) was being gently treated by Todoroki, stopping his nosebleed and drying his tears away, holding him close to his chest as they laid down on the bi-colored male's bed.

"H-he..." he started saying, his voice cracking as a knot grew in his throat, tears filling his eyes once more. "Bakugou r-rejected me..." his arms wrapped around Todoroki's middle, burring his face in his chest and muffling his cries on his t-shirt.

Shoto really wanted to say 'I told you', but the alpha was feeling especially broken, and so, he hold it in, feeling his heart racing against his ribcage as he got to hold (M/n) so close to him.

He's not sure how long it was, but before he knew it, the omega's scent lulled him into a deep sleep.

Ever since that day, (M/n) had been avoiding Bakugou, spending as much time as he could with Todoroki, and slowly, but surely, his feeling started to change.

He no longer felt nervous or sad around Bakugou, instead, he felt joy, nervousness, and happiness when he was with Todoroki, who he got used to calling Shouto. And so, before he knew it, he was confessing to the smaller male.

Shouto quickly accepted him, jumping on him and kissing him deeply, muttering over and over again how much he loved him. Their closeness was instantly obvious to the rest of the class, they could almost see the hearts coming off of them whenever they were together, and everyone was happy about the new couple.

Everyone except one person.

Bakugou had been feeling guilty and depressed ever since he rejected the alpha, all because of his stupid pride. He hates being an omega, he always did, but when he met (M/n) something started to change.

He started to think 'maybe being an omega... isn't that bad,' every time he saw the alpha blushing because of his strong, sweet scent. But now... it's over. He doesn't have a chance anymore, and the reason broke his heart.

The day before the graduation, Todoroki showed up with (M/n)'s shirt on, the baggy clothes showing up the various marks he had all over his neck and chest, but one of them, stood out the most.

At the back of his neck, just above the top of his back, there was a clear mating mark. His red eyes saw (M/n)'s teeth mark on Todoroki, and that broke his heart. But then, the alpha walked in and hugged Shouto from behind, burying his face in the crook of his neck, making the omega blush.

And that's when he saw a similar mark on (M/n)'s neck, right where his shoulder and neck joined. He looked away instantly, while the rest of his classmates went up to them to congratulate them on their relationship.

They already mated... Bakugou scoffed, biting his lips hard as the tears started to come out, wetting his face, I don't have a chance anymore... and it's all... my fault.
