I hadn't spoken to Draco since the ball. He seemed to be avoiding me. I wasn't much help either as I also found a way to leave when he joined in the conversation. I told Lucille and Astoria about our little moment. Which they totally fangirled over. Astoria kept going on about how I needed to 'ask him out'. Which I found ridiculous seeing we could barely look at each other. Or even be in the same room together without one of us leaving awkwardly. Lucille went on about how I should corner him and snog him before asking him to hogsmeade. Which I found even more ridiculous. I instead went back to my lessons trying to forget what happened between us. I had started sitting with Harper in DADA to avoid sitting next to Draco which he seemed to be doing the same replacing me with Goyle. Which I found a little insulting. He could even get a good replacement for me.

Meanwhile the second task grew closer and closer. I had started devoting much of my time to try and figure out the egg. Every time I opened it, it still screeched like a banshee. Which wasn't helpful. I was starting to get worried. It was only two weeks before the task and I still hadn't figured it out. I had tried having a dragon open it which didn't work. I tried putting a silence spell on it and a revealing charm. But none of them worked. I even set it on fire to see it is would do anything. I had starting giving up by this point and just going blind into the next task. Until Harry decided to pay me a visit. It had been a long day after double Potions and Divination. I was walking down the corridor when he walked up to me and began to walk with me towards Transfiguration.

"We need to talk." He states plainly. I look up at him into his green eyes.

"About?" I ask a little confused.

"The second task. It's coming up quick." He starts saying. "And I doubt you have figured out the egg yet. It keeps screeching when I open it."

"Same." I say agreeing with him while still trying to keep secret that I hadn't figured the egg out.

"Well Cedric payed me a visit." He continues to say. "He told me to take a bath with it."

"A bath?!" I exclaimed incredulously. I think we were finally losing it. After four years of fighting Voldemort we had gone insane. Taking a bath with a golden egg we retrieve from a dragon while we fought it for peoples entertainment. I think I'll pass.

"He said just to mull things over in the Hogwarts bath." Harry states again. "It surprisingly worked, and if you don't then your never figure the second task out." I quirked my eyebrows confused and surprised.

"Why are you helping me Harry?" I ask completely bewildered. "You helped me with the dragons, and now this?" His face kinda froze. Before he starting shrugging.

"Just thought we could help each other. Considering we didn't ask to be in the tournament and are the youngest it already puts us at a disadvantage. So I thought we could try and win together-" he saying quietly "-or just survive." I give a small laugh at the last part.

"I would like that Harry." I say with a smile. "I've never been truthfully helpful for someone. So this should be nice." We arrived at the transfiguration classroom. I gave Harry a small smile and waved goodbye to him and took a seat next to Lucille.

It was a day later when I decided to try Harry's hint out. I stuck out of common during dinner. I grabbed my golden egg and snuck down to the prefects bathroom. I had stolen the password word from a hufflepuff girl who knew the password but was to afraid to not tell me when I ask asked. I even said 'please' and 'thank you' trying to be nice. But she still broke down crying. It honestly was a big mess. I walked down the empty corridor and into the prefect bathroom. When I opened the door and walked in I was amazed. The room was softly lit by a splendid candle-filled chandelier, and everything was made of white marble, including what looked like an empty, rectangular swimming pool sunk into the middle of the floor. About a hundred golden taps stood all around the pool's edges, each with a different-colored jewel set into its handle.
