It was a horrible day. I had exams. Snape was the worst. He always found something wrong in order to fail us. Especially Gryffindor after our defeat. I still remember walking into the Gryffindor common room with Ginny and I nearly dropped dead when I saw Fred and George with a book. They were studying. It came as a great shock to us both. We couldn't really blame them as their O.W.L.S we're coming up. But it was still a great shock. I had just finished my exam with Trelawney when I noticed a familiar black dog. Honestly Divination was started to get weird. Especially when I kept getting the same stupid prediction. Whenever she read my tea cup or looked into my crystal ball there was always a little snake. Most people just thought it was my inner Slytherin showing. But it was still a little creepy. I pushed that thought out of my mind and knelt down next to the dog.

"Your out early Sirius." I muse while petting him. The dog seemed out of focus. His eyes kept drifting out beyond the castle down the hill towards Hagrids hut. I could see Harry Hermione and Ron there. It was Buckbeaks execution day. I felt bad as it was Draco's fault he was to die. But I did try and get Draco to change his fathers mind but even if he wanted to it was to late. The dog growled as Harry and Ron and Hermione left the hut.

"What's up with you?" I say sharply as he growls. I continue to pet him when he bites my hand and runs down to them. I help in pain and run after him.

"What's wrong with you!?" I shout following the dog. I look down at my hand and see a bite mark that was oozing blood. The dog had made an enormous leap and the front paws hit Harry on the chest. But the force of its leap had carried it too far; it rolled off him. I shout for him to get back here. Ron was on his feet. As the dog sprang back toward them he pushed Harry aside; the dog's jaws fastened instead around Ron's outstretched arm. Harry lunged forward, he seized a handful of the brute's hair, but it was dragging Ron away as easily as though he were a rag doll —. Ron was fighting furiously, but his head and torso were slipping out of sight —

"Ron!" Harry shouted, trying to follow, but a heavy branch whipped lethally through the air and he was forced backward again. All they could see now was one of Ron's legs, which he had hooked around a root in an effort to stop the dog from pulling him farther underground — but a horrible crack cut the air like a gun- shot; Ron's leg had broken, and a moment later, his foot vanished from sight.

"Harry — we've got to go for help — " Hermione gasped; she was bleeding too; the Willow had cut her across the shoulder. "No! That thing's big enough to eat him; we haven't got time — "

"I don't understand! Sirius is a nice dog!" I say helping Harry to his feet explaining how I knew the dog.

"Harry — we're never going to get through without help — " Another branch whipped down at them, twigs clenched like knuckles.

"If that dog can get in, we can," Harry panted, darting here and there, trying to find a way through the vicious, swishing branches, but he couldn't get an inch nearer to the tree roots without being in range of the tree's blows.

"Oh, help, help," Hermione whispered frantically, dancing un- certainly on the spot, "please . . ." Crookshanks darted forward. He slithered between the battering branches like a snake and placed his front paws upon a knot on the trunk. I pointed.

"There!" I yell they look at me like I'm crazy as I run and doge the whomping willows wide branches. I crawl throw and the tree stops. "Come on!"

"Come on — and keep your wand out — " Harry went next; he crawled for- ward, headfirst, and slid down an earthy slope to the bottom of a very low tunnel. Next came Hermione who promptly landed right on top of him.

"Sorry." she says getting up.

"Where's Ron?" she whispered in a terrified voice. "This way," I said, setting off, bent-backed, after Crookshanks.
