"Draco, you're squishing me." I say, lifting his arm off and rolling over to the free side of the bed. He grumbled and wrapped his arm around me once again.
"Five more minutes.." He mumbles half asleep, pressing his body against mine once more.
Ever since Voldemorts lovely visit to the mansion, Draco and I have been on much better terms. There seemed to be a sort of unspoken apology and forgiveness. We had gone back to how things used to be between us.
Which is why Draco insisted on staying with me every night. At first it was because I couldn't fall asleep alone and I would sometimes get nightmares but now I was pretty sure Draco looked forward to it and made it a regular thing.
"Draco," I said turning around and facing him so that he was resting his head on my chest instead of my back. "don't you know what day it is?"
"Your birthday?" He mumbled groggily, with his eyes still closed.
"My birthday's in October." I reminded him. He hummed in response. I turned seventeen on my birthday, October 28th. To be honest we didn't even celebrate it because we had been so stressed and emotional about the Katie Bell attack. But I didn't mind much, I didn't like the attention, I would much rather fade into the background.
"Hm..." He groaned finally opening his eyes, "then what?"
"Christmas." I say it's obvious. I wasn't sure how he hadn't known.
"Get me anything special?" He said smirking and wiggling his eyebrows suggestively
"Nope." I say with a mischievous smile. I got up out of my bed and went to my closet to pick out an outfit. While I changed Draco headed back to his room to do the same. When he returned I was sitting on the bed holding a small box.
"And what do we have here?" Draco said plucking the box from my hand and sitting down next to me. He was wearing his usual black suit and I noticed he was even wearing the ring I had given him years ago. I had almost forgotten about it but seeing that he still wore it after all these years made me smile.
"Open it." I said, "it's your Christmas Gift."
Draco slowly opened the box and pulled out a small bottle. He smirked looking at it.
"The cologne you smelled in your Amortentia." He says , a bit surprised.
"I noticed you ran out-"
"-and you were going crazy without." Draco finished for me. I laughed.
"Sure," I say sarcastically. I opened my palm in front of him expectantly.
"Who said I got you anything."
I smirked. "I saw you holding a small box when you walked into the room."
Draco pulled the box out from beside him and tossed it to me. I caught the box and opened the top. It was a small, flat box that would normally carry small jewelry. Because of the box's shape I wasn't surprised that when I opened it, there was a small bracelet. Except what was on the bracelet did surprise me.
I pulled the bracelet out and dangled it in the air gazing at it.
"It's beautiful, thank you." I said amazed at the bracelet he had given me. "How do you always find me the best gifts?" Draco shrugged. The bracelet was silver with a small deathly hallows symbol. Everyone in the wizarding world knew the story of the three brothers and the deathly hallows. I had been told the story from Narcissa when I was young, so had Draco.
