I woke to a lot of screaming. I quickly got up and got dressed There was a lot of commotion in the house. From what I heard as headed down the stairs. I had gathered that Fred and George had bewitched their trunks to fly downstairs to save the bother of carrying them, with the result that they had hurtled straight into Ginny and knocked her down two flights of stairs into the hall; Mrs. Black and Mrs. Weasley were both screaming at the top of their voices.
"- COULD HAVE DONE HER A SERIOUS INJURY, YOU IDIOTS -"
"- FILTHY HALF-BREEDS, BESMIRCHING THE HOUSE OF"WILL YOU LOT GET DOWN HERE NOW, PLEASE!" Mrs. Weasley bellowed as I helped Ginny get up and make sure she was alright.
"Harry, you're to come with me and Tonks," shouted Mrs. Weasley - over the repeated screeches of "MUDBLOODS! SCUM! CREATURES OF DIRT!" -
"Leave your trunk and your owl, Alastor's going to deal with the luggage... oh, for heaven's sake, Sirius, Dumbledore said no!"
A bear-like black dog had appeared at Harry's side as he was clambering over the various trunks cluttering the hall to get to Mrs. Weasley.
"Oh honestly... " said Mrs. Weasley despairingly. "Well, on your own head be it!"
She wrenched open the front door and stepped out into the weak September sunlight. Harry and the dog followed her. The door slammed behind them and Mrs. Blacks screeches were cut off instantly. We left soon after and arrived quickly after Harry had. Once inside the station we lingered casually beside the barrier between platforms nine and ten until the coast was clear, then each of them leaned against it in turn and fell easily through on to platform nine and three-quarters, where the Hogwarts Express stood belching sooty steam over a platform packed with departing students and their families. How had I missed this feeling.
A warning whistle sounded; the students still on the platform started hurrying on to the train.
"Quick, quick," said Mrs. Weasley distractedly, hugging them at random and catching Harry twice, "Write.... Be good.... If you've forgotten anything we'll send it on.... Onto the train, now, hurry...." For one brief moment, the great black dog reared on to its hind legs and placed its front paws on Harry's shoulders, but Mrs. Weasley shoved Harry away towards the train door, hissing, "For heaven's sake, act more like a dog, Sirius!"
Harry called out of the open window as the train began to move, while Ron, Hermione, and Ginny waved beside him. The figures of Tonks, Lupin, Moody, and Mr. and Mrs. Weasley shrank rapidly but the black dog was bounding alongside the window, wagging its tail; blurred people on the platform were laughing to see it chasing the train, then they rounded a bend, and Sirius was gone.
"Well, I better get going." I say giving Ginny and hug and waving goodbye to the boys. I headed down the halls stopping in a familiar compartment. I open the door and take a seat next to my friends. Lucille is sitting next to Harper so I take a empt6 seat next to Astoria.
"Raelyn!" Lucille says surprised.
"We haven't from you all summer!" Astoria says crossing her arms.
"Sorry, I was staying somewhere else this summer. Your letter probably just didn't reach me." I say lying quickly. I see Harper raise a eyebrow at me questioning. "Well, anyway I don't have much time talk. I made prefect so I have to head to the meeting in a minute. But we can catch up back at school!" I say waving goodbye and heading out of the compartment before they could say anything.
I slipped into the prefect compartment quietly. Almost everyone had gathered and the head boy and girl were giving us instructions. I took a seat next to Draco. I looked down, I was a little disappointed he didn't acknowledge me. But this was Draco, he wouldn't do anything like that in front of people. Especially this many people. Ron and Hermione soon entered and the meeting officially began. I tuned out most of it, I didn5 really want to be prefect but at least I was with Draco and not some other Slytherin.
