I woke up in the middle of the night. I tried several times to attempt to fall back to sleep but it never worked. So I made a the ultimate decision to head down to the common room. I sat on the couch staring into the fire when I heard someone come down the stairs. I looked over to the lovely Draco Malfoy sneaking out in the middle of the night.

"Whatcha doing?" I said from behind him causing him to scream and through a punch at me. But I was quick enough to dodge it.

"Wow there buddy don't want to injure anyone tonight." I say to him.

"Why are you down here?!" He exclaims.

"Couldn't sleep. You?"

"Um...couldn't sleep either, so I thought I'd go for a walk." He answers hurriedly

"Where?"

"Um...Hargrids hut?" He said with a high voice. he was definitely up to something. But I thought I play along to see what happened.

"Ok, we'll you better get walking or you'll get caught." I say pushing him towards the door. He looked baffled that I had bought his horrid lie. He walked away quickly. I gave it a few minutes before I left to go and try and catch him in the act. But of course while I was finding my way to Hargrids hut. (Which I had no idea where that is) before I new it I was wondering down a corridor I had never seen before. I decided to be brave and walk in a room. The room was weird and held one singular mirror. I walked up to it curiously and looked in my reflection. Except it wasn't my reflection it was a women. With long curly hair, wearing a all black dress, and laughing a horrible cackle. With a evil sinister smile. She looked like someone I knew but I couldn't place my finger on it. I was creeped out so I turned to head back to the common room only to come face to face with the Headmaster.

"It's not what it looks like." I said quickly even though it kinda was exactly what it looked like. Dumbledore gave a light chuckle before saying.

"I'm not here to get you in trouble. Though you are out quit late." He said calmly. "I'm merely guarding this mirror."

"Professor, in the mirror I saw someone. Someone I knew but I don't know how I know them." I tell him.

"Ah, I see. Your heart desires what you do not know." Upon seeing my confused expression he elaborated. "The Mirror of Erised. It shows one's deepest desire. I dare say your is what you do not know. I can't see the woman you have told me about but I can only image who it must be because she contains very valuable information you and I do not know, and one day might need." This just confused me more.

"Professor, what do you see? In the mirror?" I ask

"I see myself holding a thin, pair of woolen socks." He smiled "Now you should be headed back to bed." I quickly left with my questions then I had started with. I made my way back to the common room and quickly went back to sleep. My sleep filled with thoughts of the mirror, and who was that woman?

"Come on we're gonna be late!" Astoria yelled at me as I put the finishing touches on my potions essay. It was now the Halloween feast and all thoughts of the mirror at been pushed to the back of my mind. I put my ink and quill away and walked with her to meet Lucille in the Great Hall who went earlier because of the Halloween feast. We walked in the Great Hall to see it filled with floating pumpkins and candles and the ghost were especially loud tonight. I could see Nearly Headless Nick telling the story of how his execution had failed and complaining about being denied to join the headless hunt. I sat down next to Lucille and Astoria on my right. We talk about the latest things happening in Hogwarts and eat dinner. The Bloody Baron was in the middle of the story of how he had died when the great hall door burst open. The hall goes silent. Dumbledore looks over from his dinner to see Professor Quirrell running through the door. I had never liked him, he freaked me out and always was staring at Harry.
