I woke up with a pounding headache. I groaned in pain as I tenderly massaged my forehead. My mouth was begging for water as dehydration struck. My muscles were sore and my mind was still fuzzy and I felt nauseous. I didn't remember coming up to my bed, but I must have since I was snuggled underneath my blankets.
Wait. Why was this blanket so heavy—
I push my arms up and earn a giant groan as my hand meets a face and then hair. My eyes came into focus and I recognized the boy on top of me. It was none other than Draco Malfoy. He mumbles something incoherent before snuggling closer into me. His blond hair was messy and his shirt half unbuttoned, and his tie long gone.
I searched my mind for what had transpired. But I couldn't recall anything. The last thing I could remember was drinking because I had killed. I had a vague fuzzy memory of Vaisey speaking afterward but I couldn't remember what he said.
I shove an asleep Malfoy off me as I sit up. I rub my forehead as it pounds. I throw my legs over the side of my bed. I was still wearing Astoria's dress. I go to stand up but my foot lands on the chest of a person.
A breathy yelp emits from his mouth as his eyes fly open. "Bloody hell! Don't crush me!" Theo exclaims shoving my foot off of him.
"What are you doing here!?" I exclaim. I glance up at the bed beside me and see Astoria sleeping soundly. Scarlett and Pansy were already gone. That is if Pansy even came back. She had gotten pretty wasted last night as well.
"I was being a gentleman and bringing you three to your rooms!" He exclaims.
"What—?"
He rolls his eyes and huffs. "You passed out—no surprise—so Malfoy picked you up and I got Astoria, and together we were carrying you guys back up here. But then your stupid boyfriend passed out as well. Right on the bloody staircase. So I carried all three of you back to the room."
Actually, that was nice of him.
"But you could've left...and brought Draco with you."
He rolls his eyes. "Is thank you a foreign phrase to you? I didn't feel like going back to my dorm so I stayed here and dumped Malfoy with you. Not like you guys haven't slept together before—" He mumbles at the end.
"Why didn't Vaisey help?"
He snorts. "Right after you black out, he was chased out of the common room by a group of girls who had eaten the cookies he had spiked with love potions. Shoulda known the potion in the punch was too mild to be the only thing he spiked."
Glad that I avoided everything Vaisey made.
"Where is everyone?" I ask as I get up to grab clothes. Making sure to avoid any part of Theo's body. He had stolen one of Astoria's blankets and pillows, making his own little bed on the ground. I hoped he didn't plan to make this a habit. I went over to my trunk and pulled out some jeans and a shirt before catching a glimpse of myself in the mirror.
"What in the seven hells!" I exclaim as I see my face.
"I'm pretty sure there's only one hell—but then again I've never taken you for the smart type." I throw my hair brush at him. He doesn't dodge and the brush smacks into his face, causing him to howl in pain. Waking both Draco and Astoria up. "Why is your first reaction to always murder me!" He exclaims.
"Is that not everyone's first reaction?"
"No!" He says rubbing the bridge of his nose.
"She doesn't want to hurt you..." Astoria mumbles groggily as she rubs sleep out of her eyes. "That's just how she shows affection."
