"Ready?" Pond asked grabbing the luggage from Phuwin's hand and the younger nodded.

They were going to Chiang Mai, deciding to utilize the gift Gemini had gifted his older brother. The trip to Chiang Mai was shorter than it would have been if they decided to drive. Gemini really went all out on the gift.

They were going to spend the mini vacation at the Huay Kub Kab mountain top homestay, it was incredibly beautiful with a breathtaking view.

"It's beautiful here." Pond said giving Phuwin a back hug.

"Yeah it is, remind me to thank my little brother." Phuwin said.

"Knowing Gem, he is probably expecting an equally extravagant gift. His birthday is two month's time isn't it?" Pond replied.

"You are right! He is one crafty son of-"

"Hey!! You do know that you two have the same mother." Pond replied cutting Phuwin off.

"Well I wouldn't be wrong to call her that, what kind of mother abandons her children and not even check up on them after 2 decades." Phuwin replied, his mood suddenly turned sullen.

Phuwin and Gemini's mother had abandoned them when they were merely toddlers, he doesn't even have a memory of her. Except for one picture their father gave them, he wouldn't even know how she looks like. She probably has changed, it's been two decades after all.

"I-I am sorry. I didn't mean to." Pond said and gave Phuwin a kiss on the cheek. Pond knew that when it came to the topic of his mother, Phuwin would get rather sensitive. It was understandable though.

"It's okay. I am going to take a shower and we will go sight seeing." Phuwin replied.

"Sight seeing already, can't we stay in?" Pond complained.

"Take a nap so long, we are going to sight seeing." Phuwin said and Pond nodded, giving up because he knew Phuwin always got his way. That's how it always have been, he didn't mind at all.

During his shower Phuwin couldn't help but think about his mother. During the past few years he had hoped she would come back, apologize and beg to be a part of their lives but that never happened.

He was grateful for his fathers, especially Jeff.

Jeff stepped up and did a pretty good job raising them. He had his faults but he had stuck with them through thick and thin, including the awkward teenage years. Jeff stuck with him during his heartbreak, including the long nights he spent when he was busy with his degree.

Jeff spoiled them rotten, he encouraged him to get his driver's license and got home his first car. So he was truly grateful for his presence but he still longed for his mother.

It was normal for a child to long for their mother's love right?

Deciding to shake those thoughts away he got out of the shower and got dressed, ready to go sight seeing, mostly it was just hiking to be honest.

"Baby..." Phuwin said softly.

"Yes love." Pond replied.

"Want to take a shower so we can go?" Phuwin asked.

"Nope, I know we are probably going to go hiking. So I would rather shower when we come back." Pond replied.

"Okay since you know we are going hiking, wear something comfortable. I don't think those jeans are suited, no matter how incredible you look in them." Phuwin said.

"Yes sir." Pond replied and Phuwin rolled his eyes.

After Pond changed, the two left their homestay and went on a hiking trail on the mountains. The view was spectacular and Phuwin took a lot of pictures of the scenery, which were mostly Pond.
