"What is it that you want from me, Wei Jiang?" Fourth asked again.

"I looked you up." Wei Jiang told him, and Fourth stared at him.

"I am aware. You were kind of stalking me." Fourth replied.

"I meant even before now. I was actually going to find you in Thailand, but you ended up here, so it must be fate, don't you think, gege?" Wei Jiang said to him.

"Why? Why are you so intent in finding me? I am just your mother's bastard child." Fourth asked.

"You are the rightful heir and the next successor. Like I said, I looked you up. I found that grandfather had a specific claw in his will. We can not inherent any of his fortunes less the rightful heir takes over. Now I know asking you this of you might be a lot, but..." Wei Jiang said, trailing off.

"I am not following. What is it exactly? Are you asking from me?" Fourth asked.

"I know we don't know each other, but would you be willing to come take over as succesor and rightful heir?" Wei Jiang asked.

"I thought your dad and mom were the ones leading the clan." Fourth commented. 

"Technically, my mom or our mother is currently regent and not actually head of the family. As our grandfather stipulated, we can get our inheritance only if the rightful heir takes over the position as the head of the family." Wei Jiang explained.

"This is insanity. They gave me away, and now they want me back?" Fourth said incredulous.

"Grandfather didn't know. When your paternal grandparents asked for mother to carry you to full term. He didn't know.  He found out eventually and put all of this in his will. I don't know if it was out of spite or what, but yeah." Wei Jiang said in response.

Fourth wanted to laugh, maybe cry a little but mostly laugh. His life had been so much easier as the pampered and maybe a little spoiled heir of the Romsaithong empire. He had wonderful parents, friends, and even more wonderful boyfriend. Now he finds out he was a part of an old dead man's conspiracy revenge plot, maybe.

"I am sorry, Wei Jiang. I can't leave my life to be part of this. I am not one of you. I don't belong in this world." Fourth replied, trying to be sympathetic even though the younger did stalk him.

"Please, gege. If you refuse this position. Our whole family is doomed. The king will appoint the new head of the family from our distant relatives, and from what I know, they aren't really fond of us." Wei Jiang pleaded with him.

"Surely you must have savings or something like that. You could just cut ties with the whole royal family and start a new life." Fourth reasoned.

"It's not that simple gege. It's never that simple in this world. You are third in line for the throne. If we give up our title, our safety will be compromised." Wei Jian said, and Fourth frowned at that.

"What do you mean?" Fourth asked.

"Like I said. It's never that simple. So please just think about it." Wei Jiang said in response.

"I don't know." Fourth replied.

"Please. Zhang Wangji, I am begging you." Wei Jiang pleaded.

"Okay." Fourth said even though being addressed by a name that sounded so foreign to him felt strange and unsettling.

"Thank you." Wei Jiang bowed.

When Fourth left with his parents to go back to their hotel rooms, he was quiet. Processing everything him and Wei Jiang discussed. He didn't even know if the younger was being truthful or not but Fourth had always been the type of person who Ford would define as too trusting, and the type of person who Gemini would say was naive. Which, in retrospect, he was probably both.
