- AZIEL -

It's been days since I woke up from the coma. I was so confused. They said I was unconscious for 4 months because of a car accident I got myself involved in. My body felt weak and heavy that's why I couldn't get up on my own without someone's support.

The first time I regained my consciousness back, I noticed tears in my eyes. I was crying as if I was relieved that I was finally awake and at the same time sad because of an odd reason, it felt like I left someone in an unknown place somewhere. It was a mixed and perplexing feeling.

4 months in coma was just like a week for me. And I didn't know. Parang isang linggo lang ako walang malay. Maybe because of that long dream I had.
Is it even possible to dream when you're in a state of coma?

That dream seemed so real I almost thought it really happened to me.
Everything was still very clear in my mind. I could still remember every single details as if it was all intact in my memories. That girl. That strange girl that looked so vivid in my vision.

Almost every piece of my memory of that dream was always with her. It was always her face, her laughter, her smile... It was always her in my dream.
But I couldn't remember her name.

The thought of her was always making my heart pound. It's annoying how I even caught myself smiling whenever I thought of the moments we had in my dream. Parang totoo talaga. And it's giving me this strange feeling.

"Sir, may nagpapabigay sa 'yo." A woman in her white neat uniform suddenly came inside my room.

I snapped back into reality when I heard my nurse's voice. My brows furrowed in an instant. "Who is this from?"

"Galing doon sa medyo may katandaang babae sa labas kanina, Sir," detalyadong sagot niya.

Tumango ako at kinuha sa kan'ya ang papel. She immediately left when she gave that paper.

The smell of the lavender perfume immediately filled my nostrils.

Greetings, my hero!

I hope you're doing well there! I actually visited you once but you're still unconscious so I didn't have the chance to thank you. By this time, I know you're already awake and recovering.

Believe me, I am truly grateful to you and I am constantly praying for your quick recovery. I'm sorry I even dragged you into my accident. I was careless, I know.

I hope you'll recover soon! Be strong there, okay? Fighting!

Sincerely,

Delancy Shimmer.

My heart skipped a beat after reading her name. Delancy Shimmer... it was pretty familiar.

I read the name again and again just to make sure that it was really Delancy Shimmer. I was too engrossed in trying to recollect memories that my head suddenly hurt and everything began to spin around. I was starting to get dizzy as memories of that unknown girl from my dream began to flash inside my mind. Then, I lost my consciousness.
