In the expanse of darkness.
But you burn just out of my reach.
I can see you smiling down at me,
But then I remind myself that
The atmosphere is the only reason you twinkle.

That look you had in your eyes today,
You're in another galaxy,
Orbiting another star.

So I turn my back on the sky.
