What is normal?
Is anyone normal?
If I say "I wish my life was normal",
What standard am I wishing for?
Who defines normal?--
"Ordinary" people that you see on the streets,
Or "exceptional" people that you see on the screens?
Is normal normal?
So then,
Is normal synonymous with boring?
Is a normal life filled with no adventures,
Nothing exciting,
And just surviving?
I think I'm confusing myself....
And is normal the same as conformity?
Because if people blend in,
And nobody sticks out,
Then everyone's normal.
Abnormal is such a weird word--
Associated with aliens and Frankenstein--
But it's the opposite of normal,
Right?
So then,
If your life is filled with adventures,
You don't conform,
And you slightly resemble Frankenstein,
You're not normal?
Or can being "abnormal" be as simple as refusing to believe everything you see?
Or standing up for what you believe in?
This is confusing.
