Do you ever feel empty?
Like you should be feeling something,
but you're not?
Like it's almost Christmas and you're not even excited?
Like your brother is coming to visit and you don't even want to talk?
I'm not really sure what I'm feeling.
Things keep trying to come back to me,
and I'm fighting to hold on.
Last night,
I was with him for so long.
And a couple of times,
I saw him watching me across the room,
and it brought every.
Single.

Thing.
Back.
But I don't want it back!
It will never be that way!
Why do those thoughts keep coming into my head?
God, I can't fight it.
The pull of the past is so strong.......
So when it comes down to it,
I guess I'm not empty--
I'm too full,
and I can't get it out of my head.
