Chapter 4 Progress

Eve Pov:

I am now ten years old and have started to make a name for myself as well as train even harder. I trained until I couldn't move physically and then healed my muscles with medical jutsu to fasten muscle growth.

I am known as the crimson mirage since my black and red outfit was often overlooked. So only the bloody mist of the once I killed was left. I made great progress in my manipulation of metal but lacked the chakra conducting metal. I wanted to go to the land of iron but had to stop myself from that since I didn't want to go through the grass country.

So I decided to sneak into a mine and do the mining myself and here we are. Yes I am now sitting about four hundred meters deep inside a mountain and am meditating. I am spreading my chakra through the mountain and am looking for all kind of metals. When I detect a metal I check for the conductivity of the metal and if it is strong I will drag it towards me and if not then I am leaving it behind.

I honestly have no idea how long I was sitting there but when I reopened my eyes I could see several large clumps of unrefined metal ore laying around me. There are at least half a ton or metal laying around me or sticking out of the wall.

And so I began the tedious work of sealing every last ore into scrolls and the scrolls into other scrolls so that I wouldn't carry tons of scrolls around.

A few days later:

Just yesterday evening I have reached the demon country. I know that here I should be safe for the time being. After all here are none of the major villages and even if they send someone after me then I have enough time to get rid of them and escape before the next person arrives.

But back to what I am doing here, well I am going to meet with a blacksmith. During my travels here I came into possession of another metal which seemed to be quite useful since it wouldn't become solid at the regular temperature. The only problem is that it is toxic (mercury) so I decided to make some changes to my outfit while I wait.

I entered the blacksmith's shop and immediately got greeted. "Ah hello how can I help you. Oh a young lad. Hello there."

"A good day to you as well sir. I am here for a special order." He looked amused but I just kept going. "In this scroll are five hundred scrolls with ore of unrefined metal. I would like you to refine them and divide them according to the instructions on this piece of paper."

"And how much metal is in there? Also what kind of metal is it and what do you need it for?" He asked suspiciously.

"Right now there is about half a ton I believe. But it is unrefined so it can be only half or less. It is chakra conducting metal. And as for what I need it for, well to make a living." I smirked under my hood.

"To make a living? So you are a ninja?! Aren't you a bit young? And I can't see any affiliation." He observed.

"You are right. If I had any affiliation I wouldn't have come all the way out here into the demon country. I am what is known as a ronin. I wander around and work for whoever pays me. And yes I can pay for your services."

He shrugged and took the scroll and the paper. He read the instruction and was confused. "Say lad. Why do you need sand made out of this?"

I looked at him and he grinned back. He knew that he had the upper hand. I needed something from him and he was the best around here from what I could make out. I lifted my hand and a few small metal balls were floating around each other in a chaotic way. "That is interesting. Haven't seen such a trick in my whole life. Don't worry lad your secret is safe with me and I will make you the things you want. Just pay up."

I waved him goodbye and left.

When I arrived in my temporary home for the next two moths I started working on three seals. The first was to make sure the mercury would not stick to the container. The second was responsible for the blade to form very fast and extend. And the last seal was my project to become a level six seal user.

It was a ninjutsu fuinjutsu hybrid. Mom explained to me that seals can be used as a way to activate the most favourite ninjutsu of the user. For me I thought about the anime and there are a few things I thought were rather overlooked. For one the blade of Zabuza was able to reconstruct itself with a bit of blood. I could create a similar effect with a blade made out of mercury and some iron sand mixed into it. Just activate the seal and a blade would form. When it was destroyed just reactivate the seal and the blade reforms.
