Final Chapters 2: The Wandering Beast

“Professor…” Edelgard gasped upon seeing Byleth. “What happened to you? Your hair… your eyes… they look like Rhea’s…”

Byleth turned to Camila, Alfonse, Sharena, Shez, Shelle and Sothis, with a frown, he nodded at them.

“Edelgard… let’s gather everyone around.” He said. “We owe you all an explanation.”

Later, everyone gathered at the Reception Hall of Garreg Mach, unlike the outside of the Monastery, the inside wasn’t damaged… except for the Cathedral.

“Teach, what’s going on?” Claude asked.

“Your hair… your eyes…” Lysithea gasped.

“You look very different.” Mercedes added.

“You’re still the Chatterbox we know, right?” Hapi frowned.
“Everyone, relax.” Alfonse raised one hand. “We have a story to say.”

“Apparently, we were transferred to a dark realm called Zahras.” Shez started. “There we saw some people called Sothis… and Arval.”

“Sothis…” Flynn mused. “I believe I heard that name before.”

“We’ll get there.” Camila smiled at the mint haired girl. “Don’t worry.”

“We were trying to think of a way of escape.” Shelle continued. Suddenly, we saw someone named Epimenides. He was benevolent towards us.”

“As soon as we were about to escape, Ótr and Eitri attacked us, summoned a corrupted King Fáfnir and escaped.” Sharena said.

“During the process, we managed to send Fáfnir home and escaped…” Camila nodded. “And during that time…”

“The Goddess granted me her Power.” Byleth said. “Beles. Remember when you asked me about your Crest when we were hired as teachers?”
“I do. When we went to Hanneman’s office.” Beles nodded.

“It seems that your Crest is the same as Mine… The Crest of Flames.” Byleth finished.

Beles could only gasp as she learned that information.

“Bell?” Ashe turned to his Professor/childhood friend/girlfriend.

“I’m fine, Ashe. Don’t worry.” The teal haired woman smiled.

“So… you barely died during the whole Holy Mausoleum Incident?” Yuri said. “All because of someone?”

“The Goddess, Sothis…” Ferdinand shook his head. “Didn’t she just return to the Blue Sea Star?”

“About that…” Byleth states. “The current location of the Goddess Sothis.”

“Is right in front of your eyes…” Sothis uses magic to float. “I am Sothis, I am also known as… the Beginning. I am the mother of those who call home. The Progenitor Goddess.”

“I cannot believe it…” DImitri shook his head. “So this… young lady is the Goddess…”

“I bare this form because I do not have most of the power I had lost.” Sothis answered. “Until it is the right time, do not tell anyone outside this circle-”

She was then interrupted by a soldier of House Gloucester barging in. Camila had to put her back on the ground.

“Sir Lorenz! Sir Claude!” The soldier said. “Emergency!”

“Good sir.” Lorenz began. “What happened? Shall I send you to the infirmary?”

“House Phlegethon has betrayed our cause and turned to the enemy!” The soldier answered. “He and his army are attacking House Gloucester!”
