Paralouge: A way to heal (Yuri, Rene and Odesia)

COUNTDOWN TO WAR: 9

Rene was panicking. She was no healer, yet she was doing anything to heal Yuri. Suddenly, she felt exhausted and went to sleep.

After her nap, she woke up to check on Yuri, only to see that he wasn't in the room he shares with Balthus.

"Did he disappear while I was napping?!" She thought to herself. "This can't be right!!"

She ran to warn Lady Rhea... only to bump into Odesia von Gerth.

"Ow!" Both shouted.

"That... hurt..." Odesia mumbled.

"I'm so sorry!!" Rene shook her head.

"No. It's my fault." Odesia sighed. "I wasn't paying attention."

"Ah. By the way, why are you here? I thought you were with the Empire?"

"I went to check on my sister, Isabella." Odesia stated.

"You have a sister?"

"Yes. I have five siblings, two brothers and three sisters. I'm the oldest. You might be surprised, but I studied here... at 1178."

"Isn't that the year Yuri enrolled, but ended up expelled due to his-?"

"Yuri?" Odesia tilted her head. "Oh. You mean the young man with the lilac hair... the name he gave me was something like... Saterasis... something Rowe."

"You know him?"

"We studied at the same year... I was at the Black Eagles while he was at the Blue Lions. I got no word of his expulsion until Graduation... when one of his classmates, Dominica Jade Gideon, told me about him."

Suddenly, one of Yuri's Rogues went to Rene, a panicked look on his face.

"Lady Rene! Bad news!" He said.

"What happened?" Rene asked.

"The boss!! He's been captured!!" The rogue panicked even more.

"WHAT?!" Rene's worries turned to anger, her yellow eyes turning dark blue with orange pupils. "I WON'T LET ANYONE GET NEAR HIM!!"

She then rushed to Yuri's location.

"Hey! Wait!" Odesia shouted. "Oh boy... guess Isabella will have to wait..."

Later on, Odesia and Rene arrived to the location of Yuri's captors.

"Why the woods of Barnabas Territory? Isn't this where the yearly welcome outdoor camp is?" Odesia asked.

"It's eaay to get lost in here." Rene said, her eyes still dark blue with orange pupils. "I will kill those who hurt a hair on Yuri."

"That poor girl deeply lost it..." Odesia thought to herself.

"Intruders?!" Someone shouted. "Kill them before they reach our hostage!!"

Suddenly, a lot of Mercenaries charged at them.

Odesia whistled out loud and a dark pegasus arrive, with her hopping on.

Rene takes out Tarvú and activates its Combat Skill, Venomous Thorn, which activated her Major Crest of Ernest.

Most mercenaries ran away, but others fought til the very end.

"No one hurts MY Yuri." Rene growled.

"YOUR Yuri?" Odesia was confused. "You know what? Nevermind. Let's go."

They continued going through the forest, taking out mercenary after mercenary after mercenary.

"I must find Yuri... he still cannot use his Crest..." Rene thought to himself. "I need to make sure he is safe."

After breaking through groups of Mercenaries, they catch a glimpse of Yuri. He was limping with an injury on his leg after some struggles.

"Yuri!!" Rene runs to him, her eyes turning from dark blue with orange pupils to their usual yellow with black pupils. "Why did you leave your room?!"

"Rene?" Yuri grunted. "Why are you-?"

"We're here to save you." Odesia said. "Come on. Let's get out of here."

Odesia had Yuri hop on her Pegasus, which she names Arion, guiding him to safety.

Rene had to repel the mercenaries for them since it was her goal to keep her safe.

She was almost hit by a dagger that nearly cuts her hair.

"Oh no..." Odesia whispers.

A Man in black robes appears from the shadows, glaring at them with angry eyes.

"I am Myson!!" The man shouted. "And I will take the Fetters of Dromi back from you beasts!!"

"Are you the one who hired those mercenaries?" Odesia hissed.

"Those mercenaries are nothing but test subjects." Myson huffed. "And we will destroy all beasts that infest this world!!"

Suddenly, some mercenaries started shaking and screaming as black and red lightining surrounds them, making them transform into Demonic Beasts.

"How terrible." Odesia thought to herself. "To think that people like him can torment people as much as they want."

"You..." Rene hissed. "You hurt Yuri... I will kill you!!" She turned back to her "other self" and charged at Myson.

"RENE!!" Yuri shouted.

Rene dodged various attacks and swung her Hero Relic at Myson, her Major Crest of Ernest Activating. Myson couldn't dodge and he got hit.

"Damn it all..." Myson hissed. "To think that the one that got in the way of our target would interfere... no matter. We still got results."

Myson vanished, however, Rene was surrounded by Demonic beasts.

Despite his injury, Yuri activated Foul Play, switching spots with her

"YURI!! NO!!" Rene screamed.

However Yuri took out his sword and sliced the Demonic Beasts, activating his Major Crest of Aubin, which is no longer Nullified.

The Demonic Beasts would fall, transforming back into their original forms.

"That... was intense..." Odesia sighed. "Let's go back to Garreg Mach Monastery."

"Of course." Rene added. "You owe me am explination, Yuri."

They returned to Garreg Mach Monastery. Odesia went to see her sister while Rene glared at Yuri.

"You want to know why I disappeared so suddnely, don't you, kid?" Yuri asked.

Rene nodded.

"I had already healed while you were napping." The Savage Mockingbird explained. "And I wanted to ensure that you would be cured from the effects of your Crest."

"Really?" Rene said, shocked.

"Yeah." Yuri answered. "I always knew Aelfric would use your other self for his own gains, yet he outsped me. And seeing you panicked had me thinking on finding a way to figure out the History of Ernest, his Crest, His Hero Relic... and a way to heal you."

After a few seconds, Rene started Crying and went to hug Yuri.

"I'm so sorry, Yuri!!" She sobbed.

"It's alright, Kid." Yuri smiled. "You won't have to endure this in the future."
