Ethereal Moon

Though most stars will still glimmer in the crisp winter air, the blue sea star has gone back into hiding. Legend states that the goddess prays for peace from her home in the heavens. In the town of Garreg Mach, the anniversary of the monastery's completion nears, and the people's prayers intensify ahead of the millennium festival, still five years hence.

Jeralt reports to Rhea about an emergemcy.

"I got a report from one of my scouts, Lady Rhea." He added. "Apperently, there seems to be an outburst in Fhirdiad. The Western Church's plot was only the beginning. There is word that the Western Lords, except Baron Dominic, have all gone to Fhirdiad to report the failure to Grand Duke Rufus. And it seems that it will be starting after Saint Cichol day."

Rhea and Seteth were distraught by the news. The Archbishop took a deep breath.

"Thank you for the report, Jeralt." She said. "We will tell the students after the ball."

"Of course, Lady Rhea." Jeralt bows and leaves.

"I cannot believe the Kingdom Lords would even side against the Church..." Seteth shook his head. "To think that-"

"Calm yourself, Seteth." Rhea said. "It is the Ethereal Moon. This is a good time for the students to relax before their next mission... which will be the revolt in Fhirdiad."

"Indeed." Seteth said. "We also got word from the Black Eaglea about the truth of Tomas and the attacks on Hevring and Gerth and the assassination attempt on the Professor."

"Our enemies will not be forgiven." Rhea shook her head. "They shall pay... with the Goddess' Divine Punishment."

A lot of students were excited for the ball. There was also word of the Legend at the Goddess Tower. Camila was too curious, so she decided to ask the local Gatekeeper.

"Greetings." The Gatekeeper saluted her. "You wish to know of the Goddess Tower Legend? It is said that at the night of the ball, a man and a woman go to the Goddess Tower together and make a wish." He then sighs. "If only I had someone to go with."

Camila thanks the Gatekeeper for the explination. Part of her empathizes with the soldier guarding the gates.

There was also word of the White Heron Cup, a yearly dance competition in which a representative of each class competes and the prize is the dancer class.

The House leaders are gathered at the Reception Hall.

"Did everyone choose their representatives for the White Heron Cup?" Dimitri asked.

"Of course." Edelgard said. "The Black Eagles chose Dorothea. She was excited because she believes it will improve her career as a songstress."

"The Golden Deer chose Hilda." Claude said. "Or she chose herself and everyone agreed."

"Professor Beles chose Annette." Dimitri said. "Who did your class choose, Yuri?"

Yuri scowled, muttering a curse on his classmates.

"Me." That was his answered.

"Wow." Claude shook his head. "To think our classes would be cpmpeting against a house leader."

"It was either me or Constance." Yuri added. "But I won by a landslide."

"Wow." Dimitri and Edelgard said in unison.

After lots of practice, the 16th day of the Ethereal Moon, the day of the White Heron Cup competition, came.

"Greetings, People of Garreg Mach!" Alois shouted, being the MC of the White Heron Cup. He is accompanied by Manuela, Shamir and an orange haired woman, who is said to be the flying instructor, Hanama Welsor. "This is the well-awaited White Heron Cup!!"
