Chapter 17 - Where's Waldo?

"I can't find Ari" the entire table went silent. I decide to break the silence.

"Where's the last place you saw her?" I ask.

"Well, we were dancing and she wanted to take a break. I thought she was going to get food, but I guess not." Jack explained.

"She was hanging out with me for a little bit, but she wanted to get something out of the cabin." Emma corrected.

"Then Liam, Jack, and I will go check the cabin. The rest of you should stay here."

"GIRL I AIN'T STAYIN' HERE LETTING MY WORRY KILL ME FROM THE INSIDE OUT!" Emma yelled in her sassy voice. You know stuff just got real when Emma's sassy side comes out.

"Quiet down! We don't need the others worrying. Let them enjoy the night." I tell her sternly.

"Oops?" She says feeling a little bad.

"If it makes you feel better, you and Cristina can do a quick search of the perimeter." I suggest. They take me up on it. Liam, Jack, and I start going towards the cabin.

"Oh! Hold on, let me grab my jacket real quick." Liam says, going back to the table.

"Why's he co...?" I interrupt him by stomping on his foot. I knew what he was going to ask, but I didn't want to answer.

"Don't." He throws his hands up in surrender and we keep going to the cabin. Liam catches up with us. I let them go inside to do a sweep through, while I look around the yard.

"AAAAARRRIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!" I yell, hoping for an answer. I hear nothing. Where could she be?! I slip into the woods a bit. There's a sound from a little bit away, so I follow it.

It's Ari, who's curled up in a ball on the ground. Not to get on the gross side, but there's a pile of barf next to her.

"Ugghhhhhh.....ehhhhhhh....blaaahhhhhh...."

"Ari?!" She does NOT look okay.

"I think I'm allergic to shrimp." Is all she barely manages to get out. How didn't she know that she's allergic to shrimp?

"Why'd you eat it then?"

"Never...had it...before." She goes back to rolling on the ground.

"We need to get you to a hospital."

I go get Jack and Liam and we take Ari to the nearest hospital. As soon as the DJ leaves the party, the others join us there.

The doctor wanted to keep her there overnight for observation, but let her leave in the morning when she became stable. I honestly think this is the calmest Ari has ever been. EVER. I guess that's what medication will do to you. Anyways, it takes a few hours for her to get back to her normal self, once we get back to the cabin. She mostly wanted to sleep. And to eat bananas for some reason, when she had small spurts of hyper.

"I WANT A BANANAAAA!!!!" She kept yelling. We don't even have any bananas right now.

"GIVE ME THE BANANAAAAAA!!!" Ok, this medicine is making her delirious. I don't think she even likes bananas.

"DO YOU EVEN LIKE BANANAS?!??!"

"YESSSSSSS"

"We don't have any bananas!" I yell back.

"BLUEBERRIESSSSSSS!!!!" I know for a fact she doesn't like blueberries. I watch as Cristina makes her way upstairs with a roll of duct tape.

"Uhhhh....Crissy???" I ask before she gets to far.

"Duct tape is the cure to her side effects."

"Um, I think not."

"Shush. Yes it is." I wasn't going to be the one to stop her. From what I can hear, there is a bit of a struggle, but it works. She stops asking for ridiculous things she doesn't even like, along with the yelling and screaming. I guess duct tape really is the cure. I don't think I would have the guts to try and use it though. I joined them upstairs. Only a few people were allowed in the room for the first twelve hours back.

"Finally." I say after she taped it on. There was a knock on the door. The head of Jack popped in.

"Can I talk to you, Anna?" I moved out of the way of Crissy and walked outside the room. There was a window, and we stood face to face infront of it. Jack grabbed my hand.

"Is she okay? I'm not on the emergency contact list so I can't see her."

"She's fine. A little hyped up, but nothing duct tape can't fix." I smiled, and so did he.

"I'm just really worried about her. I think..." He looked in the window at the girl rocking back and forth with tape on her mouth, then at the ground.

"What? What do you think?"

"I-I think I am in love with her."
