When we got back, I kind of assumed the girls would all be eating dinner. I was right. We all go inside, and I instruct Jack to stay outside for a few minutes. I take a look at the kitchen and it's a disaster. Ok. That's the last time I put Ari and Cristina in charge of dinner. Never ends well.
"ARI COME CLEAN THIS DANG KITCHEN!" I yell into the other room.
"WHY ME!? IT WAS EMMA!!" She yells back.
"I KINDA DOUBT THAT." With that, she comes stomping in and grabs a towel to start scrubbing. This time they managed to get barbecue sauce on the ceiling.
"Ya wanna tell me how you got barbecue sauce on the ceiling?" I ask.
"You don't wanna know." She says, giving me a grossed out look. I brush it off and she continues cleaning. I go outside to get Jack.
"Ok, you can come in now. She's in the kitchen. Doesn't suspect a thing." I tell him. He puts a huge smile on his face and runs inside. He slows down and turns the corner into the kitchen. Ari's in the pantry, putting something away, and Jack tip-toes up behind her, putting his hands over her eyes. She lets out a little shriek, not knowing who it is.
"Guess who!" Jack says in her ear. Her face lights up and he uncovers her eyes. She turns around and jumps up on him, into a massive hug, almost knocking him over.
"Jack! What are you doing here?!" She asks, still hugging him. He tells her the whole story and she finally lets go of him.
"How 'bout we all hang out in the living room?" I suggest. Jack slips his hand into Ari's and we all head that way. Aw! They're so cute, I just can't.
There were now 13 people in the house. A lot of which we didn't REALLY know, so I suggested we go around and say a little something about ourselves. They all thought it was a good idea, so we sat in a circle around the living room. Luckily, there's enough space that no one has to sit on the ground. I sat on one end of the larger sofa and Cristina sat next to me. Then, Liam came and sat on he arm. Ok. Calm. I actually do manage to stay calm, but I should be getting used to this by now.
"Ok! Who would like to start?" I ask. Niall raises his hand and starts to speak.
"I like going out to eat food." He says. Ha. Tell me something I don't know.
"That's a lie, you like eating food anywhere!" Louis retorts. Niall blushes.
"It's true." He says. Next is Ava.
"Um, I like pizza and watching the movie Grease." Niall raises his eyebrows, but quickly puts them back down so as not to be obvious. Next in line is Hannah who apparently fell asleep.
"Hannah??" I ask. Nothing. Niall picks up a pillow and starts beating her with it. Well, it works. A little to well, actually. She gets up, grabbing the nearest pillow and continues to hit him back with it.
"Children! Enough!" Louis says, getting their attention. They momentarily stop, but just long enough to gang up on Louis, and one by one, everyone engaged in this massive pillow fight. Well, except Cristina and I. We're not really into that kind of thing, when it could cost us. If any of those pillows rip, we have to buy new ones. So we just watch, hoping that the worst doesn't happen. Liam turns around and sees our concern, and tries to break up the pillow fight. Yeah I know, we're fun killers, but it had to be done. Everyone gets back in their seats, doing as they're told.
"Ok, who's next?" Liam asks. Niall points to Hannah. She never actually got her turn before.
"Well, I love music." She says.
"Oh my gosh, me too!! Do you play an instrument??" I ask getting all excited.
"Yeah, of course! I play the viola."
"Cool! I play flute!" Then we were on to Ari.
"Ummmmmmm I LIKE PIE. Well, some pie. Like pizza." We all start laughing because she said it in this crazy voice. Then she nudged Jack to signal his turn.
"Well, I love anything that has to do with water. The beach, water parks, slushies, anything really." We keep going down the line until we get to me.
"Well, you all already know I'm a klutz...and that I like music, soooo I'm a bit of a photographer, I guess." I say, realizing that I hadn't actually pulled out my camera yet this trip. Just my phone. I really need to get it out tomorrow. Next, and last in line, is Liam.
"I know this may sound a bit strange, but I love the color purple." He says.
"Purple's an awesome color!" I say, grinning. At that, we decide that some dessert would be nice. Earlier, Evan made a massive vanilla cake with chocolate frosting (why? I don't know). But he goes into the kitchen and comes back with it, along with some plates and forks. He starts dispersing the cake until everyone gets a piece. By the time the last person got one, Ari finished hers.
"Can I have another one please??" She asks Evan.
"No, there's not nearly enough for everyone to have a second piece." He tells her.
"Correction. I NEED another piece."
"Doesn't change anything. Your not getting another one." She pouts a little, until I see Jack sharing his with her. After we all finish eating, everyone starts to leave since it's getting late.
"Where will I be sleeping?" Jack asks. Legitimate question, I hadn't actually thought that far yet.
"On one of the couches in here, if that's alright." Evan replies.
"That's fine."
Liam is the last one to leave. Just as he's going through the door, he turns back around.
"Hey Evan! Would you all like to go to that amusement park in town tomorrow? I heard it's a nice one!" He asks.
"Yeah! That sounds great, see you tomorrow!" Liam continues out through the door, shutting it behind him.
