"Almost all absurdity of conduct arises from the imitation of those whom we cannot resemble." - Samuel Johnson
Spencer and I had started a tradition to hang out every weekend and we would discuss all kinds of subjects, including pop culture, something he wasn't familiar with. It felt really nice to have a friend who understood me on a level not even my family could.
I walked into the elevator and Spencer greeted me with a smile and a cup of coffee. "Good morning, Cassie."
I grabbed the coffee, took a sip and then smiled in gratitude. "Good morning, Spence." He chuckled and I furrowed my eyebrows. "What?"
"It's just that you're the only person in the world who calls me Spence." His eyes were glued to the floor. "I like that."
"Then I shall call you Spence from now on." My eyes caught his and we both smiled.
"You mentioned your brother was staying with you, right?" Spencer changed the subject.
I took my car keys from my bag while grabbing the coffee cup with my teeth. I nodded as he grabbed the cup and I looked at him in appreciation. "It's only for a couple of weeks. His dorm is being fumigated." Spencer got out of the elevator and dropped the cup in the trash. "But we can still hang out."
"Perhaps we could do it in my apartment." He suggested. "Or not..." He trailed off. "It's perfectly fine if you don't feel comfortable going to my apartment considering we're just getting to know each other..."
"Spence, I think it's a great idea." I interrupted him and grabbed his shoulders. "Just breathe." He took a deep breath and we got inside the car.
"Where is he studying?" Spencer asked.
"Georgetown. He's in Pre Med." I answered.
"Do you have any other siblings?"
I shook my head while starting the car. "Just Matt and Kitty." I started driving to Quantico. "Kitty is my older sister." I reminded Spencer. "She just had a baby."
"Right." He replied. "Your family seems pretty close."
I nodded. "Yes. We have a great relationship now, but we struggled when I was younger." I sighed, remembering the trial times of my childhood. "My parents were not ready for a genius child." I grinned.
"My mother always knew I was going to be a genius." Spencer commented. "She always says that a mother knows." He smiled, clearly amused by his mother's words.
"Are you going to visit her anytime soon?" I asked. Spencer was very closed about his mother. The only he told me was that she was diagnosed with schizophrenia and lived in Las Vegas. I don't even know anything about his dad.
Spencer nodded. "On my next vacation."
After an hour, we arrived at Quantico and got inside the elevator, only to be joined by Morgan and JJ. "Good morning, doctors." JJ smiled and I gave her a small nod.
"Good morning, Pretty Boy, Pretty Girl." Morgan grinned and I rolled my eyes. "How was your commute?"
"Quite delightful, thank you very much." I replied while smiling at Spencer who just nodded.
Morgan kept pressing me about my lack of dating experience ever since he found out I've never been kissed. It was infuriating to say the least.

We got on the round table and I took my seat next to Spencer, as usual. "Alright!" JJ started. "Gil Clurman and Joe Reese survived a bombing attempt this morning." She explained.
