"Superman is, after all, an alien life form. He is simply the acceptable face of invading realities." - Clive Barker

I was half asleep when I heard a noise coming from my living room. Was someone breaking into my apartment? I opened my drawer and grabbed my gun, tip toeing to the living room, careful not to make a sound. I aimed the weapon at the dark figure and yelled. "Put your hands up!" I reached for the light switch and when the darkness faded, I spotted a blonde boy with eyes that mirrored mine. "Matt?" I lowered my weapon and placed it on the book shelf. "What are you doing here?"

Matt gave me a half smile and waved his hands at me. "I should've called first."

"I almost shot you." I flicked a finger on his forehead.

My brother immediately placed his hand on his forehead. "I guess I deserved it."

"What do you want?" I asked as I gestured for him to seat on the couch.

"Mom called and asked me to talk to you about family dinner. They want to meet your boyfriend properly." Matt smirked and he laid on the couch.

I swatted his legs and sat at the end of my couch. "They already know Spencer."

"They know him as your friend." Matt pointed at me. "But now he's your boyfriend." He chuckled.

I groaned in annoyance. "How did they find out?"

"Kitty." Matt replied with amusement in his blue eyes. "You know our sister is a big gossip."

"I'm gonna kill her." I sighed.

"Can I watch?" Matt grinned and I threw a pillow at him. My family was the most embarrassing and I did not want to submit Spencer to that humiliation.

When morning came, I rushed to the conference room where everyone was waiting for me. I took a seat next to Rossi and he looked at me with an amused expression. "Long night?"

"The longest." I stated, feeling my eyes heavy. My brother's visit really took a toll on me as I couldn't sleep after.

JJ stood in front of the screen. "In the last week, five 23rd Street Killers member were found dismembered in their turf in Los Angeles."

Morgan looked at the photos. "It could be a rival gang."

"Gangs don't use swords to slash their enemies." I stated before taking a big gulp of coffee.

"Gang violence is exceedingly high in downtown Los Angeles." Spencer explained as he glanced at me with a worried expression.

"We could have a vigilante in our hands." Hotch announced. "Wheels up in 30."

Everyone left the conference room, except for Spencer, who grabbed my arm and turned me to face him. "Is everything okay, Cass? You look like you haven't slept last night."

I sighed and cupped his face. "My brother told me my parents are organizing a dinner for you. They want to meet you."

His hazel eyes looked at me in confusion. "They've already met me."

"But not as my boyfriend." I exclaimed with a smile and left the room.

"What?" He followed me and I shrugged. "That makes no sense." He wasn't wrong, but my parents were very traditional. Those damn WASPs!

Rossi, Spencer and I arrived at the newest crime scene. Two gang members were found dead this morning as we were on the way. "He's escalating." Rossi noted.
