"No man is happy without a delusion of some kind. Delusions are as necessary to our happiness as realities." - Christian Nestell Bovee
I was sitting on my desk, trying to finish my paperwork, when Spencer walked in. God, he looked amazing with his patterned shirt and that skinny tie. I smiled and he placed his satchel on his desk and winked at me as he sat down. "Good morning, Precious."
"Good morning, handsome!" I bit my lower lip and his eyes roamed around the room. "What's wrong?" I asked with a raised brow.
Spencer looked around the room before he leaned forward. "Cassie, I beg you to never bite your lip at work cause I always feel the urge to kiss you when you do that."
I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks. "It's not like I do it on purpose."
"I know baby, but it's hard for me to be professional when you always look so fine." He gave me an awkward smile and I laughed.
Emily and Morgan approached us. "How is the genius couple today?" She smirked.
"We're actually pretty great." I replied as I leaned back on my chair.
"Have never been better." Spencer added and swung on his chair.
"Loverboy can pull." Morgan joked and Spencer shrugged.
Hotch showed up behind me. "Porter, I need to see you in my office." He walked away as I tried to process what was happening.
"Someone's in trouble..." Emily mocked me and I glared at her.
I followed Hotch to his office and noticed Rossi was there as well. "Close the door, Porter!" Hotch ordered.
"Is everything okay?" I asked, panic rising to me.
"You're scaring the girl, Aaron." Rossi joked and I sat next to him.
Hotch handed me a file. "I didn't mean to scare you." He sat down and adjusted his tie. "I would like for you to join me and Rossi on a little consult."
I opened the file and noticed the crime scene photos. "The wife killed her husband."
"Yes, but we were asked to assess if the wife suffers from battered woman syndrome." Hotch filled me in.
"And you want me to question the wife?" I asked.
"You're the best we have in the department." Hotch complimented me.
"Thank you, sir." I smiled softly.
Rossi stood up and sighed. "Guess we're going to Boston." We all left Hotch's office and grabbed our go-bags.

We arrived in Boston and were immediately escorted to the interrogation room. "Hello, Mrs. Henson. I'm Dr. Cassie Porter and I'll be conducting this interview."
"I apologize in advance, but aren't you a little young?" The woman asked with a soft expression on her face.
I smiled and shook my head. "I get that all the time." I placed her case file on the table. "But I assure you I'm the best in the field."
Audrey nodded and smiled at me. "I believe you are. Now, what would you like to know, dear?"
I opened the case file and looked at the woman with a serious expression. "What happened the morning you shot your husband?"
"I woke up early, as usual, and let my husband sleep in. He worked really hard." She nodded frantically and started picking her nails. "I was putting away some clothes and, there he was, still sleeping. And I knew that was my chance."
