"Don't forget that I cannot see myself, that my role is limited to being the one who looks in the mirror." - Jacques Rigaut

It was Spencer's 24th birthday and I was excited to see him. JJ and Garcia got him a stupid birthday hat that made him look like a child. Hotch, Gideon and Morgan all looked at the very young doctor while Elle and JJ brought his birthday cake. He looked at me with a sweet smile and I winked at him. We sang 'Happy Birthday' and he tried to blow out the candles but they would always come back alive.

"They're trick candles." I said while kissing his cheek and handing him a box. "Happy birthday, Spence."

He blushed as he opened the box and gasped once he saw the vintage brown leather watch I got for him. "It's..." Spencer looked me in the eyes. "This is amazing, Cassie." He got up and hugged me. "Thank you."

I smiled at him and noticed the entire team was looking at us. "It's nothing, Spence. I'm terrible with gifts." I looked away embarrassed.

JJ grabbed the watch and examined. "This looks expensive." She noted.

"It didn't cost a thing." I replied.

"For your birthday, I'll get you something as meaningful." Spencer said with a shy smile.

Morgan draped his arm around my shoulder and smirked. "Are the two geniuses in love?"

Spencer looked down with a blush and I swatted Morgan's arm from me. "You're insufferable." I said before linking my arm with Spencer's, winking at him.

"June 11th." Spencer said.

"What?" I stopped and looked into his hazel eyes.

"Your birthday." He kept walking and I stood still. Spencer Reid actually knew my birthday.

"Brenda Samms was found this morning in her house." JJ informed us.

"Her eyes are glued open." I noticed. "It's as if he wants the victims to see him."

Morgan glanced at the crime scene images. "And he cleans the crime scene after he's done."

"This is the sixth victim in three weeks and the police is struggling to find the unsub." JJ explained.

Hotch grabbed the case file and looked at us. "Wheels up in 30."

We followed him to the jet and I took my seat next to Spencer, as usual. "Looks like we have a gruesome case for your birthday." I smirked.

Spencer grabbed his book and looked at me. "It wouldn't be much of a birthday if we didn't have a case." He joked. "And thank you. No one ever remembers my birthday but you did."

"That's what best friends are for." I smiled and noticed Spencer's eyes on me before returning to the book.

"As soon as we land, JJ and I will go to the station and talk to the detective in charge. Gideon, Porter and Reid visit the crime scene and take notice of everything, even the smallest details. Morgan and Greenaway talk to the previous victim's family, make sure they talk about the victim. This doesn't seem random." Hotch ordered us and I nodded.

"It seems like we're actually partnered together this time." I told Spencer.

"Usually you interview unsubs since that is your field. I'm more of a geographical profile kind of person." He stated.

"Or we're just too powerful together." I joked. "Two geniuses can be a doozy." He smiled and I stuck my tongue out, making him chuckle. He enjoyed when I acted like a child and I liked making him laugh.
