"An earthly kingdom cannot exist without inequality of persons. Some must be free, some serfs, some rulers, some subjects." - Martin Luther
Spencer was reading a book in my living room when I entered my apartment jumping up and down and squealing in happiness. "Guess what."
He put his book down and squinted at me. "You found a rare book, first edition that needs its own case."
I shook my head. "No, silly. Although, I'd be ecstatic if that happened." I handed him a piece of paper. "Read it."
"You got into the Anthropology PhD program." Spencer smiled and pulled me in for a hug. "I knew you could do it, Cass."
I wrapped my arms around his waist and inhaled his scent. "It will be my fourth PhD. You inspired me."
He grabbed my shoulders. "How?"
"Well, you applied for a PhD in Philosophy. That's huge, Spence." I smiled and he planted a kiss on my lips.
"We should celebrate with a proper date." Spencer suggested as he snaked his arm around me.
I grinned widely. "Are propositioning me, Dr. Reid?"
Spencer stared into my eyes. "You bet, Dr. Porter." We both laughed and he leaned in to kiss me. I still got flustered whenever our lips locked. It was such an overwhelming sensation.

There was some tension in the conference room. This case must be a serious one. "Angela Miller was abducted from Great Falls in Montana." JJ filled us in.
"Yes. And the man suspected of doing it, committed suicide this morning." Hotch nodded at JJ and switched the photos on the screen. "Francis Goehring."
"Do you think he has a partner?" I asked.
"If he does, the unsub must be highly submissive." Morgan stated. "Goehring viewed himself as the true alpha male."
Emily grabbed a file. "Goehring was sadistic and enjoyed inflicting pain on the women he killed."
"We have to assume the partner may actually be an apprentice." Spencer suggested.
"That means he'll be highly unstable since he lost his mentor." I added.
Hotch stood up. "We need to go to Montana." He left the room and we all followed. I truly hated serial killer teams.
When we landed, Garcia called with information on Goehring. "I've got the 411 on the creepy suicidal maniac."
"Tell us, babygirl." Morgan smirked and I rolled my eyes. They were so flirtatious with each other.
"Okay, Chocolate Thunder." He chuckled. "Okay, so Francis Goehring was dishonorably discharged from the Army in 1989 when he got into a bar brawl but that's not all." Garcia kept typing. "He joined the local militia and married Diane Marie in 1996. Last year, he got kicked out of the militia after she reported the abuse she suffered."
"It could've been the trigger." I suggested.
Rossi frowned. "We need to talk to the local militia and will not be easy. They're very closed off."
Morgan looked at me. "Are you up fora field trip?" He asked with an amused smile.
I grabbed my things and grinned. "Always, D." I was very excited to be on the field. Sure, facing the local militia was not going to be an easy task, but it can be managed.
