"In the city, crime is taken as emblematic of class and race. In the suburbs, though, it's intimate and psychological, resistant to generalization, a mystery of the individual soul." - Barbara Ehrenreich

Spencer and I had been together for four months now and it's been blissful. We never fight, we sleep together almost every night, alternating apartments, he reads to me and I cook for him. Our relationship was perfect, safe, honest and... secret. We haven't told anyone on the team and it felt exciting. Sneaking around behind their backs was exhilarating.

"Have you seen my brown sweater?" Spencer asked.

I turned my head to him and smirk. "Which one? You currently own at least 6 brown sweaters, 3 brown cardigans and 2 brows vests."

He wrapped his arms around my hips. "Don't sass me, Precious." He planted a kiss on my neck.

"Whenever you call me precious it reminds me of Gollum." I chuckled.

Spencer put a hoodie over his white shirt. "We're both skinny and weird." He commented.

I kissed the tip of his nose. "I'll search for your brown sweater as soon as you take a shower. We need to go to work."

"I'm so lucky." He grabbed my arm and pulled me closer to him. "I get to work and then come home with you." He leaned in for a soft kiss and I wrapped my arms around his neck. "You really were worth waiting for."

I gave him another small kiss. "I love you Spence." He cupped my cheeks. "Now go get a shower."

"I love you too, Cassie. Even when you're bossy." Spencer blew me a kiss as he entered the bathroom. I could get used to living with him.

We gathered at the conference room, as usual, and JJ was already spreading the files on the round table for us. "Hey JJ!" I greeted her with a smile.

"Hey Cass." She smiled at me as well. "Where's Reid?"

"How would I know?" I tried to play it coy.

JJ gave me a smile and Spencer showed up, completing the team. "JJ, you can get started." Hotch said with a stern expression.

"Tom and Dina Halbert were murdered last night in a home invasion in Denver. It's the third one in a month." JJ stated.

"What's the MO?" I asked.

"The unsub uses weapons of opportunity." Hotch claimed.

JJ clicked the remote. "The Halberts were bludgeoned with a golf club while the kids were given the lethal injection."

"The rage is towards the parents." Morgan stated.

"Were there signs of the abuse?" Emily asked.

"No. The kids were tucked in and the unsub took some valuables." JJ replied.

"This seems like a lot of work for just one person." I said.

Spencer turned to me. "I agree. It must be a team." I smiled at him and JJ noticed, making me blush.

"Wheels up in 30." Hotch announced and left immediately.

JJ approached me after the rest of the team left. "I know you and Reid have something going on but I just can't prove it." She smirked.

I gave her the side eye. "You're delusional, J."

"Whatever you say." The blonde laughed and I felt uncomfortable. The team was so going to find out sooner or later.
