she walked outside

she walked for a long time, and her legs were getting achy. she found a weird barn with tons of dead bodies around it. she found a couple walkers and began to kill them. she killed more until she found merle. he was a walker, a few tears dropped from her eyes, not for her but for daryl. how is she gonna tell him about this. she stabbed him twice. and walked back to the prison.

as soon as she got to the prison to walked to daryl.

"daryl i have some bad news." lilia told him.

"is merle dead?" daryl asked her twiddling his thumbs, basically telling the future.

"yes," she said with a pause.

he tried hard to keep a straight face he felt like he had to, he didn't want to cry in front of lilia either.

"daryl you can cry, it's okay." lilia said. daryl cried quietly almost unnoticeably. "i love you."

daryl got up and hugged her picking her up. "merle was a good man, an asshole, stupid. but good." lilia hugged him back. "i-i-i love y-you so much." daryl kept crying. lilia had never seen daryl show his emotions. not in front of her at least, only a tear or two. she didn't know what to do, not really. she chose to let him have a moment. it was pretty clear he didn't want him to see him in this state.

"glenny." lilia said walking to him solemn. "hey, what's wrong?" he asked back. "merle died." glenn rolled his eyes and slightly smirked not understanding what this meant to her and daryl. "glenn! stop being a bitch! daryl, i've never seen him cry, today was the first day. merle was a human, glenn don't roll your goddamn eyes." lilia walked off. "i see your smirk you asshole."

"lily." glenn said, lilia turned around. "don't talk to me that way." he said with a weirdly soft voice, he didn't know what to say.

"don't tell me what to do glenn i'm not your kid, i'm not anyones kid my parents are dead." lilia said flipping him off.

2 hours later

"lily. thank you for being so strong when i couldn't, and sticking up for merle. i love you hon. you are the best kid i could ever ask for but honey, watch yer mouth." daryl said sitting beside her with less country in his voice, he never was sincere.

"sorry, i had strong feelings." lilia said slightly smiling.

"god i love you." daryl said slightly pausing. "daughter."

lilias eyes widened a bit. she. was. not. ready. at. all. not. at. all.

"it's okay." daryl said reading her mind. she looked at his hand. and saw a scar, he has a scar now, well even more then he already did.

"daryl." she said feeling nervous at saying what she was about to say.

"yeah?" he asked noticing the worry in her eyes.

"are you insecure about your scars?" she asked it, finally.

"kind of, they kinda just remind me of bad times." daryl said keeping calm just figuring out that lily knew about his scars.

"so do mine." she whispered to herself. but with his supersonic hearing, he always heard. "what...?" he asked softly grabbing her shoulder. she lifted the back of her shirt up slightly along with her undershirt revealing her scars. daryl's eyes widened extremely, more then ever. he was worried about her.

"is this why you hide pain and fear?" he asked out of the blue.

"um. ouch. anyways, yeah my mom would hit me harder if i cried or showed too much pain and laughed at me if i winced or flinched or really anything." she said ironically trying not to cry.

"you don't have to do this, i can read people like a book even though i don't like reading. i know you feel like you have to be the hero all the time. but yer amazin honey." daryl hugged her tight. she began to lightly cry.

"daryl, you feel the same way. you can cry if you need to. your human, your still human." lilia said back still crying. lilia grabbed his hand and let him lay down in the bunk beds. he shed a tear. "it's gonna be okay daryl, it's all gonna be okay."

lilia walked outside to see glenn. "why did you say that to me?" glenn asked her. "because you don't smile at another human dying glenn, i thought you were a better person then this." lilia said. "lilia, i'm sorry, i didn't know merle meant so much to you. you used to be so mean to him." glenn said. no one had called her lilia in a long time. he really meant it.

daryl walked out of bed feeling the need to not show his emotions any longer. his dad never let him anyways.
