CHAPTER 10

I WOKE up and glanced at my alarm clock. 10:50 am, crap, I over slept. I have a lunch date with this man na inaanak ni mommy. Nasobrahan ako sa party kagabi, halos ilang bote ng alak pa ang naubos ko. This is why I hate drinking a lot of alcohol. My head hurts so much.

I groaned as I tried to walk, my head spinning wildly. I reached for my phone on the bed and took a selfie in the mirror. I captioned it with a sleepy emoji and a few words; 'Hang over' Tatlong pic lang yong pinost ko and then after that, I uploaded them.

I sighed and put it back on my bed. I continued walking until I reached the doorway. Napatingin naman ako sa labas ng penthouse ko. I can see the tall buildings up here dahil tanging glass wall lang ang nakaharang.

Darn it. It's raining.

Dumeritso na lang ako sa kitchen at nagmumug ng tubig. My head keeps poking at kunti nalang magmu-mura na talaga ako.

Dahil kunti na lang ang time ko to fix myself para sa lunch date ay agad akong kumilos. I can't let this man wait for me, sabi pa naman ni Mommy he's a bachelor, kakauwi lang daw nito sa pilipinas. Nakakahiya naman kung paghihintayin ko sya, pilipino ako and I know how to value someone's time.

Pumasok ako sa kwarto pabalik at naghanda na ng damit na susuotin ko. I chose to wear a very simple dress and a coat to match because it's raining outside, along with some boots and, of course, an expensive bag that I can carry. Nang mai-ayos ko lahat ng susuotin ko ay dumeritso na agad ako sa malaki kong banyo. Napatigil naman ako saglit ng biglang bumalik sa ala-ala ko ang ginawa ni Glenn sa'kin kahapon.

Ugh! Great! Why can't that scene get out of my mind? Why did he say those things to me, by the way?

Instead of dwelling on thoughts that could drive me crazy, I decided to push them away and take a shower.

PAGKATAPOS kong mag shower ay agad akong nagbihis ng damit na kanina ko pa pinili. I fixed my hair, using a blow dryer and then putting it in a ponytail. I even applied some light makeup dahil ayokong mag mukhang clown sa harap ng kung sino-sino. Simplicity is truly beautiful, and I agree. I also wear some jewelry to enhance my look.

After I was finished, I left the penthouse, wearing a simple yet striking outfit. I'll be using my favorite baby pink lambo right now. Kagabi, nagpasundo lang ako sa tauhan ni Dad kaya hindi ko sya nagamit, ayoko kasing nagmamaneho ng lasing. And of course, mapapagalitan na naman ako nang kapatid at nang daddy ko kapag may dadaluan akong party tapos wala akong bantay.

In my family, they have these rules, and most of them seem to be directed at me. For example, kapag aalis ako or a-attend ng kung ano-anong party, kailangang may bantay at driver akong dala dahil kung wala, mapepektusan nila akong dalawa. My father and John are very strict when it comes to me, kaya as much as possible, dapat safe ako kapag aalis at uuwi ng bahay.

Of course, I appreciate them, lalo na't alam kong involved ang kapatid ko sa isang organization na maraming mamamatay tao  I don't want to be pabigat kaya sinusunod ko lahat ng utos nila kahit alam kong nakakasakal na. Hindi lang naman si John ang may problema sa earth. Even my father, marami rin syang enemies sa business industry dahil masyado syang magaling. He's a very wealthy man, and many people around him despise him. Can't blame them though, sa sobrang galing ng Daddy ko lahat sila nauungusan na.

While driving, I often sing along to songs by my favorite Hollywood singer, Taylor Swift. From 'Enchanted' to 'Cruel Summer,' 'Love Story,' and 'Bad Blood,' I really love all her songs. I even find myself singing them at home sometimes or kapag may ganap sa bahay, like birthdays.
