Meanwhile, Marinette had finally finished all her shopping and came to the register with Socqueline.
‘Sorry I kept you waiting so long Mom!’ Marinette smiled.
‘That’s okay sweetie, I was enjoying a nice sit down and a drink of water to tide me over for the trip home’ Sabine smiled.
Socqueline started ringing everything up. ‘Ooh, I’d better get some more glue sticks for my hot glue gun for all these flowers. I’m not sure if what I have left will be enough!’ Marinette said as she grabbed a packet of some that were near the counter. ‘And for making you wait Mom, I’m buying your paints and brushes for you’ Marinette smiled.
‘Oh, sweetie, you don’t have to do that!’ Sabine smiled.
‘I insist!’ Marinette smiled.
‘At least let me pay for my brushes since I opted for the more expensive set’ Sabine replied, giving Socqueline 50 Euros before she could say no.
‘Okay, if you insist Mom!’ Marinette smiled.
They paid for their purchases and bought some paper bags for a small fee.
‘We don’t have plastic bags anymore’ Socqueline explained. ‘My mom was worried about our carbon footprint so we have paper bags that can more easily be recycled.’

‘Great idea!’ Marinette smiled.
They bid Socqueline goodbye and as they left Rose was coming up to the art shop as she saw Marinette and Sabine leave. She looked in the art shop window and saw a small diamond dot kit complete with frame.
Oh wow! Rose thought. That would be a perfect extra gift for the baby shower tomorrow afternoon! And on sale too, only 5 Euros!

She walked in and asked Socqueline for it.
‘You’re in luck Rose, that display one was our last kit!’ Socqueline grinned.
‘Oh, great! It will be perfect for Mrs Dupain-Cheng’s baby nursery!’ Rose smiled.
‘Yes, I’m making her a gift too! I’ll show you! It’s almost finished!’ Socqueline replied, showing her a cross stitch she was making.
