That afternoon, Gabriel was in a mood. He was fast running out of time and even his latest villain, Soprano, hadn’t been successful in obtaining the miraculous he so desperately desired to bring his beloved Emilie back to life.
Adrien was on the way home from school in the car, looking out the window, thinking about what to do with Plagg, when he felt his phone vibrate. Luka had texted Adrien.

Luka: “Hey, I was wondering if you could swing by the Liberty after school tomorrow? Would be great to see you before you go!”
Adrien: “Yeah, I was just about to suggest meeting up! I would really like that! 😉 I know it would be great to see you and say goodbye!”
Adrien was hoping Luka would understand what the wink 😉 emoji implied, which he did.
Luka: “Yeah! 😉 Definitely need to!”
Adrien: “For sure! I have to go home and pack first, but I’ll see you after school tomorrow? Say around 4?”
Luka: “Sounds perfect! See you then!”
Adrien came home with a smile. ‘Good afternoon Dad’ he said.
‘Son. How was school?’ Gabriel said flatly.
‘Good. I’m really going to miss everyone when I go to London...’ Adrien sighed. ‘Dad, do I really-‘
‘Yes Adrien. There’s no negotiating this’ Gabriel replied.
‘Okay. But can I at least see my friends to say goodbye tomorrow afternoon? Since my flight isn’t until early Saturday morning?’ Adrien asked. ‘I’ll come home first to pack, if that pleases you Dad’ Adrien added, hoping if he promised to pack he might agree.
Gabriel sighed. ‘Fine. I will allow it’ he replied.
‘Thank you Dad!’ Adrien smiled as he hugged him, Gabriel not hugging back.

The last day of school went like a blur for both schools.
The Truman sisters all got in the car. ‘Time to get Zoe her present!’ Penelope grinned.
