At the Anderson residence, Daniel had asked Carmen if Amber’s suggestion was okay and she was fine with it too as long as she and her friends raised all the money for it themselves. Amber was thrilled. ‘Thanks Mom! Thanks Dad! And don’t worry, you won’t be paying a cent!’ she grinned as she hugged them. The dance floor rental and marquee rental trucks had come to take away the rented floor and marquee and Amber had asked them how much it would cost to purchase one to have installed permanently.

She texted the girls in the dance group in a group chat about not getting the saris dry cleaned yet and explained about her plan for Monday morning.

All the girls were behind it 100%.

Stacey: “Can’t wait to see the look on Persephone’s face!”

Heidi: “You and me both!”

Hazel: “Great idea! So in!”

Amber: “Let’s not tell Ashleigh though, let’s surprise her. Ooh! And I have some more news! I’ll copy the guys into the chat for this!”

Kevin: “Sup Ambs?”

Amber: “I have an idea of where we can rehearse together since the school won’t let us anymore!”

Joel: “Ooh, do tell!”

Jameela: “What’s your idea bestie?”

Amber: “My Mom and Dad have agreed to have a dance floor and marquee permanently set up in our backyard!”

Stacey: “Wow, really?!”

Arrietty: “That’s so cool!”

Leon: “I’ll say!”

Amber: “Only problem is we’ll have to raise the money ourselves. I’ve asked the companies my parents rented them from and they’re not cheap.”

Kimberley: “What’s the damage?”

Amber: “8000 Euros for a dance floor and 2000 Euros for a marquee. So 10000 Euros all up.”

Heidi: “Wow, that is a lot of money”

Hazel: “But not impossible! We could fundraise over summer break!”

Amber: “My thoughts exactly! I’m sure Joshua, Luka and my other friends would help out!”

Jameela: “And I could donate some towards it!”

Amber: “Only if you want to, no pressure!”

Everyone said they were so in for raising money for the dance floor. Amber’s house wasn’t far from the school either which was a bonus as it was fairly central for everyone. They all agreed summer break would be the perfect time to raise money as they weren’t so busy with schoolwork and showcase rehearsals for graduation and the like.

Amber had also counted up the donations made at her party for Environmental Warriors, which were as follows:

Adrien: 1000 Euros

Kagami: 1000 Euros

Marinette: 50 Euros

Alya: 20 Euros

Nino: 50 Euros (including 35 from busking)

Zoe: 1000 Euros

Luka: 50 Euros (including 10 from Arnaka)

Juleka: 50 Euros (including 10 from Arnaka)

Ivan: 40 Euros

Mylene: 70 Euros

Stacey: 25 Euros

Arrietty: 25 Euros

Ashleigh: 500 Euros
