ACTION - PART 9

It was about 5pm, so everyone decided to go home for dinner but Juleka asked Arnaka if she could go to Rose’s for dinner and sleepover there, so seeing as it wasn’t a school night she was fine with it.

She asked Marinette if she wanted to stay for dinner which she said she would with permission from her parents which they happily gave, even saying she could stay for a little while after since it wasn’t a school night as long as Luka would accompany her safely home, which of course he promises to do so.

After a delicious dinner of beef lasagne and summer salad, Arnaka decided to read in her bedroom after doing the dishes, which Marinette insisted on helping with before Luka smiled and took her hand lovingly.

‘It’s such a clear night and the sun is almost set’ he said lovingly. ‘Wanna stargaze on the deck with me?’

Marinette smiled and blushed. ‘Sounds fun!’ she smiled as Luka grabbed some pillows from the couch.

‘Let’s go set up and make it extra comfy’ he grinned as Marinette nodded as she grabbed some cushions and pillows too.

They laid down together as the sun had just set and waited for the stars to come out.

‘Today was so much fun’ Marinette smiled. ‘Even with Amber and Mylène getting akumatised!’ she chuckled.

‘Hey, at least they were for a good reason. And not selfish reasons’ Luka smiled.

‘That’s true...’ Marinette grinned. ‘How you were akumatised into Silencer a couple of years ago. That was for good reason.’

‘Not really...’ Luka sighed. ‘Looking back, it wasn’t really justice I wanted. It was more because...he threatened you...’ Luka replied as he looked into Marinette’s shimmering bluebell eyes as she blushed.

‘Really?’ she replied.

‘Well, yeah....’ Luka began. ‘When that tyrant Bob started threatening you and your career... that’s when I felt all this anger inside of me and....well, maybe I did want justice. Justice for you Marinette...’

‘Oh Luka...’ Marinette smiled with tears in her eyes as Luka smiled lovingly at her and kissed her forehead as she giggled.

‘You’re so sweet...’ she whispered.

‘You’re sweeter angel’ Luka whispered as they turned their attention back to the sky as the first stars started to appear, holding each other’s hand as Luka gently stroked her hand with his calloused thumb from his years of guitar playing. She sighed happily, feeling comforted by his loving touch. Luka always gave her a sense of calmness and contentment. And she always wanted to have him in her life.

‘That was so sweet, what you said to me....that day....before you went on stage....’ Marinette smiled, looking lovingly at him.

Luka chuckled. ‘I remember... I was so nervous saying it, but I had fallen head over heels for you and I knew at the time you were still unsure of your feelings for Adrien, but-‘

‘Shh...’ she chuckled, putting her finger on his lips. ‘Just know...that moment you played me Marinette’s Heartsong and kissed me in the museum, that was the moment I gave my heart to you, and only you, Luka Couffaine.’

Luka smiled and chuckled as their lips met as they both sighed happily, never wanting their time together to end, but knew it had to eventually.

‘You know, I practiced what I was going to say to you with Juleka and she thought it was pure poetry’ Luka chuckled. ‘I was going to tell you how I felt before Ivan told us about seeing XY copying our song.’
