That afternoon, Adrien and I had fencing practice. I couldn't believe it was our last one in Paris until who knows when. As we were a bit early, we waited outside for our teacher and talked.
'Our school tomorrow has made the graduation ceremony not mandatory. And Baljeet has invited us to attend the Jacques Thibaud School for their showcase which starts at 1:30 tomorrow. So we all decided to go to that instead. Did you want to come?' Adrien asked me with a smile.
I gasped, desperately wanting to say yes. Normally I would jump at the chance to do that, as our school graduation ceremony isn't mandatory to attend either. And we were told that last Friday. But that Friday afternoon, I got a text from Felix...
*Flashback scene*
I had just hung up with Adrien after discussing the Chloe problem as I talked to him at home while my mother was out on business with Gabriel Agreste at the Agreste mansion, when Felix texted me: "Hey, is now a good time to call you? We need to talk."
Me: "Sure"
Felix: "Is this line secure?"
Me: "Yes, I have my Sim card in a normal phone, not an Alias ring."
Felix called me and I answered.
Me: "Hey. So what's up? And why do you care if this line is secure or not?"

Felix: "I don't trust those Alias rings. Gabriel has ears everywhere with those. And we can't let him find out what we're planning."
I rolled my eyes.
Me: "If you say so. So what exactly are we planning?"
Felix: "We have to do something to free Adrien from his father."
Me: "Well, we'd better think of something soon. Because tomorrow week he and I will be on a plane to London."
Felix: "What?!"
Me: "I'm not happy about it either. I know you gave me the real ring and the one my mother has is a fake. But I want to make it look like I'm still following orders. I don't want her to cotton on just yet."
Felix: "Hmm, smart move. You are a good fit for my oblivious cousin."
Me: "Hey, Adrien is perfect, okay? Just because you found out the truth doesn't mean I want him to. I mean, does he have to know?"
Felix: "No. As long as we can get the ring Gabriel has that contains his Amok on Adrien's finger, he can be in charge of his own destiny."
Me: "Then how do we do that?"
Felix: "(sighs) It... involves me telling you something I'm not proud of....Are you sitting down?"
