"oh man, i'm beat," y/n said as she flopped to the gym floor, exhausted from the strenuous practice session.
the game was tomorrow, and the coach wanted them to do their best.
"why does coach have to push us so hard just before the game?" y/n thought, lying there and catching her breath.
what did this coach expect? they were only students, for goodness sake.
"well, at least my teammates are as tired as me," y/n thought to herself as she watched them slump against the walls and sit on the benches.
it was a relief to know that she wasn't the only one struggling.
y/n perked up when she saw her girlfriend; hyein among the cheering cheerleader team - she couldn't help but smile as she caught her eye and hyein smiled back at her.
as the rest of the team collapsed to the floor, y/n's attention was solely focused on hyein. that smile always managed to make her feel better, even when she was tired and sore from a difficult practice session like this.
y/n's attention was drawn back to the rest of the team when a player called out to her, "y/n! are you ready for tomorrow's game?"
y/n rolled her eyes and gave a teasing response. "we'll see," she said with a wink.
but deep down, she was feeling more confident with hyein there to cheer her on.
after a while, the practice session ended, and the team gathered to stretch their muscles and relax.
y/n was still feeling exhausted, but her mood was improved by seeing hyein and their teammates. she even felt motivated as she overheard some players talking about tomorrow's game.
"we're going win!" one of them declared confidently.
although y/n wasn't so sure, she couldn't help but share the excitement.
tomorrow, they would do their best to give it their all, and who knows what would happen?
y/n sat on the bench, sipping her water as she watched hyein chat with their teammates. she knew Hyein was a social butterfly, always talking to everyone on the team.
but it was okay - that was one of the things y/n found so endearing about her. whenever hyein was busy chatting, y/n could take a moment to relax and refuel for the day.
however, that didn't mean she couldn't get jealous when her girlfriend seemed to be having too much fun without her.
eventually, hyein finished chatting with her teammates and noticed y/n sitting on the bench.
"hey, darling! sorry, we were just talking about tomorrow's game." hyein said as she sat down next to y/n - their eyes met, and hyein flashed that dazzling smile that y/n loved so much.
that moment of connection brought instant joy to y/n's heart. "it's okay," she said, sipping her water. "i know you're a social butterfly," she joked.
