"you shouldn't have raised your voice," eunchae reminded as she heard the zombies growling in front of y/n's apartment door.
"i'm sorry, i'm sorry!" y/n apologized, tears pooling up in her eyes, feeling stupid for doing so. but she couldn't help but worry about minji.
eunchae put her hand on y/n's shoulder, trying to reassure her that it was okay, and that she didn't need to apologize.
"we need to escape, we can't stay here for too long. the door will break soon and the zombies will probably swarm us." eunchae said, sounding desperate as she tried to get them prepared for the upcoming danger.
then, eunchae and y/n began to put on a jacket, a cap, and a bag with bandage and food stocks... just in case.
while eunchae was focused on putting as many food stocks inside her bag, y/n was staring at the wedding picture frame of her and minji. she couldn't help but feel worried about minji after their phone call, wherein minji's call suddenly got cut off after she shouted.
tears fell from y/n's eyes as she stared at the picture—at minji's face, precisely—for a long time, but then eunchae came up behind her, pulling her out of her thoughts.
"we have to go, quick." eunchae said in a soft but urgent voice.
since it was nighttime, the zombies had a hard time seeing in the dark, so with that, eunchae opened the door just a crack, and sprayed them using the fire extinguisher, spreading the foam outside to get away from the zombies outside.
y/n then hit some of the zombies who were on their way with her kitchen knife, causing the zombies to stumble backward and fall, giving the two girls some time to make a quick getaway.
they went downstairs and noticed a car pulling up—in such a way that the driver caught a glimpse of them—as they rushed straight to the car and get inside.
"oh my God, y/n!!? you're alive!" yunjin, y/n's friend, exclaimed as she glanced at her in the rear view mirror. turns out, she's the driver.
"y-yunjin?" y/n's voice choked out between heavy breaths.
"it's great that you're alive! i've been trying to get here just to save you!" yunjin stated, but then her eyes widening as she saw that a mob of zombies are reaching for them outside.
"hang on tight!" yunjin said firmly as she drove straight forward, away from the apartment that was filled with sweet memories.
y/n could only stare with longing in her eyes. eunchae, who's still out of breath, just offer a hand on her shoulder as a form of reassurance she could afford.
"it's good to see you still alive," yunjin said with a relief chuckle, beginning the conversation since all she had been hearing was heavy panting from behind. "i can't believe you had two kids now, huh?" she added, her tone laced with amusement.
"n-no, she's not my kid," y/n shook her head, even eunchae nodded her head in agreement. y/n then lifted her shirt up a little bit, showing yunjin the tiny bump. "this one is mine." she added with a small smile.
"aww, that's so cute! congrats!" yunjin exclaimed in delight, seeing the small bump that y/n was showing off. she looked back at eunchae, sitting there with a weary expression, and a faint smile touched yunjin’s face at the sight of her. "so, who is this kid?" she asked, wanting to know a little bit more about the young girl who had been helping y/n.
