"WHERE ON EARTH IS MY DIARY?!"
y/n yelled out of the sudden when she can't find her diary in her school bag, giving her poor grandma such a fright that she nearly dropped her knitting needle.
"my goodness gracious child, there is no need to yell!" y/n's grandma exclaimed, wiping the sweat from her forehead. "did you perhaps leave your diary at school?"
"i think i left it in school." y/n muttered with a huff, flopping her body onto the sofa beside her grandma in defeat.
well, you see, y/n has made a habit of detailing her deepest feelings for her crush in her diary, something she has kept hidden from everyone else. not even her friend, minji.
and so, this personal diary of hers has grown to become a special place for her, where she pours out her heart and soul in her writing, often using her crush as inspiration.
not to mention that she is terrified at the thought of anyone else reading it and finding out about this hidden romantic side of hers.
unfortunately, she forgot her diary in the rush to make it on time for her volleyball game, and she was so frustrated at herself for being careless that she nearly let herself getting hit by a car.
"now, now dear, no need to be so upset," y/n's grandma comforted her beside her. "you can simply find that diary of yours tomorrow, so there's no need for all this fussing." she smiled gently, shaking her head when y/n is whining and flailing her arms like a little kid.
after a moment, y/n stopped as she realized she's being dramatic. then, she clears her throat and looks at her grandma.
"okay... good night." y/n pouted, taking a moment to give her grandma a kiss on the cheek before disappearing into the bedroom to get a much-needed sleep.
"good night, dear. sleep well." y/n's grandma replied softly, watching her granddaughter saunter off through the hallway to her bedroom.

"damn it, where the hell is my diary?" y/n mumbled to herself as she frantically searched under her desk, only to find a sea of pen holders and old sticky notes.
"hey, good morning, y/n! what's wrong?" minji approached y/n and noticed her frantically searching for something. "you're trying to find something? need a hand?"
"n-no! it's fine, minji!" y/n squeaked out nervously, plastering on a nervous smile as she scrambled to take a seat and get herself under control. deep down, her head was screaming from the urge to let loose with an ear-piercing wail.
"are you sure?" minji inquired, raising her eyebrows as she watched with concern while y/n tried to keep herself under control. "because you look like you're about to explode."
before y/n could get out a word, the science teacher entered the classroom just in time, bringing an end to her tense moment and allowing her to exhale a relieved sigh.
even though the immediate danger of her teacher entering the classroom had passed, the lingering sense of anxious remained. not only was her diary still missing, but she couldn't even spare a quick glance at her crush, danielle, who was sitting right across from her.
