"Ethan got fired so now we are looking for someone to work as a copyboy," I complained as me, Violet and Andy drove home from the AA meeting.
"Well that's gotta be tough darling I'm so sorry," Andy expressed.
"Do you think anyone in the office would take the job?" Violet asked.
"I don't even know I'm just dreading work tomorrow. I hate making my own copies," I remarked.
Violet laughed.
"I mean, you could just call out tomorrow," Violet suggested.
I shook my head.
"She's not wrong darling," Andy told me as we pulled up to the restaurant for our weekly soda.
We decided on McDonald's this week.
"I've never missed a day of work. Or even called out sick," I explained.
"It's just a thought I mean tomorrow's Friday. Live it up," Violet told me as we pulled up to order.
"I do agree with Violet on this one," Andy told me before we ordered.
I sighed. I wasn't a rebel in that sense.
After we ordered and got our drinks, Violet picked up the conservation back from where it started.
"Why don't you call out? Like we could do something fun. Or best of all, you could definitely sleep in and just have a mental health day," Violet explained.
"That's a great idea. Darling, you should think about it," he remarked as we drove up to Violet's place.
"I mean sure I'll think about it," I replied.
I really didn't want to do that. What if it backfired and I got really sick in the future?
I parked in front of Grandma Mary's condo and Violet got out.
"If you do call out, let me know. We can maybe go get lunch," Violet told me.
"I'll think about it," I told her.
"See you later lovebirds," she joked as she walked up to the house.
Andy and I both laughed.
"Ready to go?" I asked as I turned to Andy.
"Yeah let's go," he remarked.
By this point in our relationship, we had drawers of each other's stuff at our places. We also had a few other items like clothing pieces too.
We got back to my place rather quickly. I really didn't want Andy to go home.
Once we got settled and walked up to the house, I guess he could pick up on my energy.
We waltzed into the living room.
I put my purse down and keys up.
Andy looked at me.
"Somethings on your mind," Andy remarked as he studied my expression.
"Well," I remarked.
"Well, what?" he asked curiously.
"Why don't you stay the night? I mean it would be nice to wake up next to you if I'm calling out sick," I remarked.
Andy had a giant smile on his face.
"Really?" he asked.
"Yes I mean I'll definitely need someone to take care of me if I'm sick," I alluded.
He chuckled.
"That's a brilliant idea," he commented as we sat down on the couch.
"So I think I'll wait till a little later and call the office and leave a message saying I had a fever or something," I remarked as I turned the TV on.
