"Two more days of doing nothing and then off to my new job," I remarked as I looked at the calendar.
"This time went by too quickly but you know what darling?" Andy asked.
"Huh?" I replied.
"Isn't the saying time flies when you are having fun?" he replied.
"True true," I remarked as I finished writing down some things on the calendar.
"Did Violet write to you while we were gone?" Andy asked as we walked to the living room.
"Actually yes she did. I need to write her a reply. I have to tell her all about Florida," I told him as I grabbed the old TV guide and threw it out.
I was mindlessly cleaning to ensure I had nothing to worry about after my first day at my new job.
"How is her schooling going anyway? Didn't she say she was actually looking like she was finishing her classes earlier and earlier?" he asked.
"Yeah which is crazy so I'm thinking she'll be done with the degree program early," I remarked as I picked up the letter Violet had written.
I grabbed my little notebook to try and construct a response. Even though we had hung out and talked 2 weeks ago, it was now normal not to hear from Violet for weeks again.
"Are you going to ship her the souveniers from Florida?" Andy asked as I began writing.
"Oh shoot I forgot. I need to see if I have a manila envelope," I remarked as I went to my desk.
If I didn't, I could keep the items till we went to Greece and Croatia. But would I remember is the whole other question.
"If not, I can run to grab one for you darling at the store," he told me.
"I think I have one but let's see," I remarked.
I sorted through the stuff I had and sure enough, I had one with the bubble wrap inside of it.
"Okay so I'll need to take this tomorrow since I do start work," I commented as I got the supplies gathered for my package for Violet.
"We can make sure we do that tomorrow," he told me.
I came back to the living room and sat on the floor. I started writing to Violet about the trip to Florida. I told her bout the promise ring and about everything she didn't get to see but would live through my words.
"Too bad a teleport device doesn't exist darling. It would be so much easier for you to tell Violet everything," Andy commented as he watched me write my heart out.
I chuckled.
"That would be fun but also really dangerous cause I easily could teleport to the mall or Kmart," I told him.
"Good point," he replied chuckling.
"See so it's a good thing that technological advancement isn't a thing yet," I replied as I found a few photos to put into the package for Violet.
"It wouldn't be too terrible I mean you'd save gas money too," Andy analyzed.
"Ooooh true," I remarked as I labeled the back of the photos.
I was sending some of the nature shots I took plus a few of the photos that Andy and I took together with his family.
"I really love how all the photos came out," Andy commented as he sorted through them again.
"I know they really did come out nice. I really love this one of us. I think Mo took it when we were sitting outside by the pool," I told him.
"I like candid shots of us. It feels more authentic," he replied.
"I do too. I also need to get a photo album with these photos done," I remarked as I made a list for the store while also finishing up the letter to Violet.
"I think everything with us is more authentic I mean it in a good way. Even if we fight, we always find a way to see through it," he told me.
I then thought about his health again. It always was a silent worry for me. Ever since he had that one doctor appointment, I never knew what was gonna happen.
I decided to focus on the now and finished up the package for Violet.
"I think this will be fine, right?" I showed him how the keychains were wrapped and a few magnets.
"Yes they will be I hope. I know it's going to go through customs but it'll be okay," Andy told me.
"Okie," I remarked as I finished sealing the package up.
To another day of living and loving. Who knows, it may be my last chance.
