"It was nice of your family to celebrate with us for our anniversary," I remarked as we walked out to sit outside in the backyard.
"Yes, I thought so too. It was nice to toast at dinner with soda," Andy commented.
"It was a cute gesture," I commented as we looked at the stars.
"The ring looks pretty in the moonlight," Andy remarked gesturing to my hand.
"I still cannot believe you got me this, to be honest," I told him.
"I had to get something special I mean you mean a lot to me," he told me as we heard the sliding door.
I turned to see Barry letting out their dog.
"Sorry to ruin the moment Andy," Barry commented.
We chuckled.
"Nothing was ruined Barry," Andy retorted.
"Good. Enjoy yourselves," Barry commented as he disappeared back into the house.
We laughed again.
"I swear this was the best decision," I told him.
"I'm glad you thought of it," Andy told me as he took the moment to kiss me.
And it was like a movie. Until the damn sprinklers came on.
"Ah what the hell?" I shrieked running from where we were.
"Barry!" Andy shouted.
We ran inside with the dog. We stopped midway to take our shoes off to avoid tracking anything all over the house.
"What is wrong?"Barry asked from the living room.
"Your sprinklers turned on," I commented.
"My sprinklers? They were supposed to go on two hours ago," Barry remarked.
"Well you should have the repair people check that," Andy commented.
"They did this morning," Barry commented.
"Wait, did they do prep for daylight savings? That happens next week?" I asked as Linda handed us some towels.
We weren't soaked. But, enough to give me a chill under the AC vent.
"Yeah, oh shoot they might of and forgotten to tell me," Barry remarked.
"It's okay don't feel bad. We just weren't expecting it," I reassured him.
"It was kind of funny honestly," Andy told Barry as we decided to go upstairs and get ready to unwind for the night.
"I got to get out of these clothes or I'm probably gonna get sick after standing under the vent," I remarked.
"You'll be fine," Andy reassured as we walked into the bedroom.
"You sure cause my mom always told me not to be near an AC with wet hair or I'll get sick," I told him as I took my hair out of the pony it had been in all night.
"I think it's one of those old wives' tales darling don't worry too much or you'll make yourself sick," Andy commented as he took his shirt off.
I was detangling my hair now.
"Well I suppose that's true," I told him as he now gathered stuff to shower.
"Mind if I go first to unwind for the night?" he asked.
"No go ahead I got to wash my hair after this mess and it's knotted," I commented.
"I'll be done in a jiffy," he told me as he kissed my cheek before disappearing into the bathroom.
I continued working on my hair. There was one thing I did not like and it was for my hair to be messed up.
After Andy got out of the shower, it was my turn to get comfortable after a wonderful day.
"Did you finally get the knots out?" he asked as he sat by me briefly.
"Yes, I did. It only took 20 minutes but I got it," I told him as I walked to gather my stuff.
"The good thing is it'll be easier to wash," he told me as he turned the TV on.
"True," I commented.
"The only thing I hated back in the day was how much hairspray we'd use on stage and that felt awful after shows," Andy replied before I disappeared.
"I can only imagine sweat and hairspray. Yuck," I remarked as I disappeared to the bathroom.
Andy laughed at my remark.
"You and your words. Yuck," he mocked.
I chuckled.
"Shush," I told him.
And so, I proceeded with my shower and got comfortable.
I came back and Andy was dozing off already in front of the TV.
"Are you that tired?" I asked as I slowly walked over to him.
"No. Well, maybe who knows," he told me.
"You should know how you feel," I told him as I kissed his forehead.
"Right I mean I am tired but I don't want today to end cause then in 2 days we fly home," he commented.
"It doesn't mean this will stop. We'll eventually come back out to Florida and your siblings are always welcome at our house," I told him.
"Our?" he asked.
"Remember, in a few weeks, you are moving in. Well, that's what you said," I told him.
"No, I kinda forgot that," he told me.
"How could you forget such a big thing?" I teased as he sat up in bed a bit better.
"I don't know," he replied.
"See you still have something to look forward to. Plus, you have upcoming recording sessions and the sailing trip in Croatia in a few months too," I told him.
He sighed.
"I guess I've overthought about it," he told me as I joined him on the bed.
"Yes like we always do," I told him.
To another night in Florida.
