"So your parents are actually planning on coming down for Thanksgiving?" Violet asked me.

Violet and I had gone out to get coffee after I was done at work. We hadn't seen each other that much since my mom had been here for the last 2 weeks.

"Yeah, I'm actually really happy. I miss them so much. I feel so isolated sometimes," I told her.

"I know that feeling well not so much since really you and Grandma are my family and have been. Speaking of family, my dad sent another letter," Violet told me.

One thing she did was still write to her dad after he got out of prison at the beginning of the year. However, Grandma Mary did not allow her to see him in person or talk on the phone.

"How is that going?" I asked her.

"Well, he's also in AA and doing some rehab now that he's been out. He really wants to get his life together. He mentioned how he saw some of my art around town," Violet expressed.

"But how is it making you feel Violet?" I asked her.

She sighed.

"I don't know to be honest I mean as I've said in the past, he's a reminder that mom is gone," she told me.

I frowned at her. I knew that this probably secretly ate her up behind closed doors.

"Have you told your therapist about it?" I asked her.

"Yeah, and she feels the same way you do about it. Only do it if it feels right," Violet told me.

"So also what are we thinking about for Halloween?" I asked her.

It was hard to believe that the holidays would come right after another.

Halloween was now 2 1/2 weeks away. It was a Friday this year which was nice not only if we wanted to do something fun (within reason).

"Well, Grandma Mary and I were gonna just hand out candy and dress up," Violet told me.

"Oh that sounds fun," I told her.

"But of course, you can come over and take pictures with us if you want," Violet told me.

"Of course, I love taking pictures. I'm just dressing up as a witch," I told Violet as we noticed the sun was setting.

"Like pretty witch or wicked witch?" she asked as we stood up from the table we were at.

"I haven't decided. I bought the hat and the dress in black so I could be actually either if I get face paint," I told her.

She chuckled.

"I can't wait to see," she told me as we walked to pay for our stuff.

We headed out and I was on my way home to Andy.

It was a little before 5 when I walked in. It was quiet except for the TV noise.

I walked inside and found Andy asleep in the big recliner. Sam was asleep at his feet.

I smiled to myself. Andy looked so cute in the chair asleep.

I put my stuff up for the weekend from work and got washed up.

He didn't stir. I went to the kitchen and saw he had Chinese takeout on the counter.

I walked back to the living room and walked over to where Andy was.

I scrunched down and kissed his forehead. His eyes fluttered open.

"W-what time is it?" he asked confused.

"A little after 5 honey," I told him as messed with his hair.

"I thought I was only asleep for 10 minutes but half an hour dang," he commented as he sat up.

I chuckled at his movements.

"I got home not that long ago honey so don't worry," I told him as he stood up.

"Good good," he remarked sleepily.

I smiled as he sleepily wrapped his arms around me and kissed me.

"At least your home for the weekend now darling," he told me.

"Yes," I told him.

"Dinner is ready it's Chinese takeout," he remarked as he let go of the embrace on me.

"Yummy," I remarked.

Andy was more coherent now after a few minutes of being awake.

And so, we sat down and ate dinner quietly with each other. Of course, Andy asked about my day and how things were at the office. It was nice being in a relationship where I didn't have to truly worry about things.

"So I was thinking we could do something to celebrate our 6 months?" Andy asked as we cleaned up the dinner takeout.

Technically we made it official on March 30th. So technically October 30th would be our official 6 month mark together though most of March we were already technically doing  "couple things."

"I mean sure honey I mean what did you have in mind?" I asked him.

"Well we could go out to a really nice restaurant on Halloween since the 30th is a Thursday and that's the AA meeting day. We could celebrate on Halloween instead? Or even Saturday afternoon?" he asked.

"I like the idea of Saturday better if that's okay," I remarked as I began doing the dishes.

"Okay so on Saturday the 1st, we will go out to Le Petit Paris and enjoy dinner together and then I was thinking we could go to the movies after? Sort of like our first date but this time hopefully you won't get a bloody nose," he remarked.

I smiled.

"Say Paris again," I told him.

It sounded so cute the way Paris rolled off his tongue with his accent.

"What?" he asked chuckling.

"Your accent is so cute. Oh, and the plan sounds wonderful," I told him as I finished the dishes.

"Paris Paris Paris," he remarked as he looked at me.

"Have I ever told you that I love your accent?" I told him.

He smiled at me as I hopped onto the counter.

"Actually I don't know darling if you've ever told me that," he remarked as he kept looking at me.

He had this certain look in his eye that he usually had when he wanted to kiss me. But he was waiting to seize the moment.

"Well I love your accent," I replied once more.

I glanced down and then he brought my face back up to look at his with his finger.

"Yes?" I asked him.

He was being such a tease.

"Nothing," he remarked as I pouted.

"Fine," I remarked as I hopped off the counter.

The kitchen was cleaned for the night.

Andy followed behind.

He stopped me.

"What?" I asked him.

"I love you," he told me.

"I love you more if that's even possible," I remarked as he finally caved to kiss me.

I melted into his touch.

He chuckled.

"You're like a puddle of sugar darling," he teased.

"Have you not seen you?" I asked him.

He looked away.

"No seriously," I remarked again.

I kissed him this time.

I pulled away and sighed happily. Andy did the same.

Andy got the notation.

To a loving Saturday night.
