"And then we'll come home and relax for the night," Andy commented.
He had been home a few days and was gushing over his plans for us on Valentine's Day. It was a Saturday, so we had no real work to worry about till Monday morning.
"And where is this restaurant at?" I asked him.
"Remember where I told you I performed with Maurice a while ago? We went to this one restaurant after the show. It does have a bar but I'm not too worried since I'm content with my sobriety," he expressed.
"Oh wait in like that area south of LA? El Segundo?" I asked him.
"Yes in El Segundo. I cannot remember the name but know how to get there," he commented chuckling.
I chuckled.
"Okay that sounds great though," I told him as I stifled a yawn.
For a Friday afternoon, I was beat. It was a long week for some reason. I was so happy it was the weekend. All the while we were chatting while sitting on the front porch. It was nice to be living in a sense of a dream.
I still terribly missed Violet. Thursdays weren't the same but I was still so proud of all the progress she had made before getting her art dream.
Andy must have noticed my zoning out.
"Darling did you even hear a word I said?" he asked.
I shook my head.
"No, I'm sorry what were you talking about?" I asked him as we slowed the swing of the porch.
"I was talking about our birthdays and how we wanted to celebrate too. It's not that far away you know," he commented.
"I know I really don't know if I even want to celebrate. As I get older, I realize it's just another level of being older. But for you, let's plan something really nice," I told him.
"I want us both to celebrate our birthdays darling. We are only 10 days apart," he told me.
"I'll think about it. I mean my birthday is on a Sunday. Yours is a Thursday. Oh shoot we will need to do something special for the AA meeting," I remarked.
"We could go buy a cake or cupcakes like we did for the snack day," Andy told me.
"That's an idea," I remarked.
"I'll never forget when you told me that for Violet's snack turn at AA half the cookies Grandma Mary baked and the other you and Violet bought from the store and passed off as your own," Andy remarked chuckling.
"Yeah I mean a little cookie hurt no one if it was given with love," I remarked chuckling.
"I think that's true," he told me.
"Speaking of celebrating things, our one year is coming up next month too," I commented quietly.
"I know darling. I have things planned already I just got to tell you what days to put in for," he told me.
"Oh?" I remarked.
I felt sort of awkward. I wanted to plan something but he's already got the entire month filled with plans.
"Yes darling I want us to do something different and maybe go out of town if your work allows it," he told me.
I really thought it was cute he was wanting to do all these things. I felt partially responsible for some of the plans but I'd bring this up later.
"Just let me know the days and I'll see what Carlos will approve," I told him.
Andy sighed happily as the plans seemed solid.
To another weekend in love.
