Aecha's grandma watched her granddaughter from afar, she was lost in her own world as she sat at the windowsill in the library.
"Hyu—" the king saw his wife stood at the library door until she hushed him
"Darling.. look at our granddaughter.."
"She's.. in so much pain. She may put on a happy face for us. But deep down, she truly misses her lover. It's something that royal vampires experience." The Queen sympathised with Aecha
"My, how do you know so much?" The king asked his wife
"I've been doing my research. I don't want her to be in pain anymore.. I don't want her to suffer."
"I see" The king stated, also wanting to help his granddaughter
"I'm worried.. because of the curse on the royal vampires." The Queen explained, and the king raised an eyebrow
"Curse?"
"If one does not love the other.. and if they are not in a certain range with each other for a certain amount of time— then both die."
"W.. what?!"
"I know.. and they're in completely different realms.."
"Oh my.. w— we need to help her! I don't want her dying!"
"I know, I know, darling."
"I fear.. she has realised this, and is waiting for her impending doom."
Aecha started to drift off into sleep again, feeling herself draw back into one of her dreams with Jungwon.
That they never were vampires, or part of royal families. And that they were just a normal couple, living their lives as teenagers on Earth.
She just wished.. she never knew him.
So they both, wouldn't have to face this.
Aecha had given up, and was already planning how she wanted her funeral. She didn't want to live anymore. End her suffering.
Her guards, Jun and Minghao watched her, as their duty. And Minghao felt tears fall from his face.
"M-minghao? Why are you crying?" Jun asked
"I.. don't want the Princess to die.." he sobbed
There was not a single doubt in anybody's mind from the Blue Blood Realm that Aecha didn't have such a positive impact. They loved her.
"We are going to stick with her until the very end.. okay?" Jun encouraged him
"Yes. I just.. I don't know— she makes us smile everyday, she's so cheerful."
"I know, Minghao."
"I don't want the princess to die." Minghao repeated
"We can't stop what fate has given us."
