Addison's POV
I tried talking to Meredith as we drove home but I didn't get much of a response.
"Meredith do you want to talk about it?" I asked gently but she just shifted so she was staring out the window.
As we reach the house Meredith looks at me confused,
"You can rest here," I explained.
"No take me home." Meredith demanded, I didn't know what to say I don't want to take her there it's easier here plus I don't know what triggers she has at home.
"Just stay here for a bit ok?" I coo trying to convince her to stay.
"No I want to go home!" She demanded, I don't know what to do, honestly I can't in good conscience take her back and leave her alone, suddenly an idea comes to me.
"Meredith all your room mates are at your house at the moment, don't you just want a break from the noise for a bit to rest?" I ask hoping to get her agree. She goes silent for a bit, but then I hear her mumble something, but I couldn't quite make it out.
"So Meredith what was that? I ask gently.
"Fine" she mutter but a bit louder this time so I can hear her.
"Ok let's get inside then, it's about to start raining." I say jumping out of the car. Meredith follows me silently into the house, and just looks at me once we are inside.
"Would you like a snack?" I ask, but she just shakes her head.
"I'm tired." She says bluntly.
"Ok well you can have a rest in my room it's right down the hall," I explain leading her down to my room. She follows silently, I'm worried about her again she seems to have shut down. I'm not going to lie this is one of the few times when I'm glad my bedroom doesn't have an ensuite.
At first she doesn't move but I pull back the covers on the bed and she climbs in. For a brief moment she looks at me and I can see all the emotions in her eyes, and it breaks my heart. I lean down to pull the covers over her, but as I go to stand back up her hand reaches out and grabs my scrub top.
"Everything ok, Meredith?" I asked concerned.
"Can you stay?" She asks quietly, I smiled
"Sure,"
I carefully sit on the bed next to her, giving her enough space so she doesn't feel like I'm stopping her from going anywhere but close enough she knows I'm there.
"Sleep well," I coo,
It doesn't take long for her to fall asleep, as she does small snores escape her, normally I would find snoring to me incredibly annoying but as they escape her I can't help but find them adorable.Arizona's POV
On the way home I quickly dropped by the store grabbing some food, some chocolate and some extra tissues. I don't know what's going to happen next with Meredith but I know it will probably involve large amounts of tears.
It doesn't take me long to get home, and the house is silent as I enter,
"Addie, I'm home where are you?" I call as I take off my shoes.
"Ari, I'm in the bedroom but be quiet." I hear Addie answer, as I enter the bedroom I can't help but smile. Meredith is laying there her hand resting on Addie's chest. She looks so peaceful.
"I stopped by the intern locker room before I left and grabbed some of Meredith's clothes." I explained quietly sitting down on the bed next to Addison.
"Thanks, she can get changed once she wakes up, she was exhausted when I brought her home. Getting her to stay for the night could be a challenge but I don't want to let her be alone." Addison whispered intertwining her hand with mine.
"We can discuss that with her later." I explained, rearing my head on Addisons shoulder.
We just sat there in silence waiting for Meredith to wake up neither of us really sure what she was going to be like when she did.
Eventually she started to stir, as she awoke more and became aware of her surroundings she quickly pulled her hand off Addie's chest.
"I'm sorry I didn't meant to..." she muttered as she rubbed her eyes.
"It's ok," Addison cooed,
As she did Meredith turned away from us in the bed.
I looked at Addison.
"I'm going to go grab some lunch, want to come?" I asked
"Yeah sounds good. Let's get some food Meredith." Addison said, her tone was very matter a fact but it seemed to work because Meredith got out of the bed and started walking towards the door, quickly followed my me and Addie.
I quickly prepared the lunch I'd bought, before sitting down with them to eat.
Meredith just looks at the food not really touching it, I don't want to mention it yet, so instead I try and strike up a conversation with Addie.
Lunch goes ok although I'm pretty sure Meredith just moved food around her play.Addisons POV
As we ate lunch I noticed Meredith didn't actually eat much she just seemed to move the food around which concerns me but I don't want to mention it yet, I'll talk to Ari about it later. I clear the table and we move to the lounge. Meredith won't talk to use but she doesn't seem to be wanting to leave either. I can only imagine the fight going on in her mind.Authors Note
