Addisons POV

I was so proud of Mer, after some discussion she picked some toast with honey for breakfast and she ate nearly a whole slice of toast,

After breakfast, I tried to clear up but Ari very quickly shooed me out of the kitchen, telling me I had made breakfast so she would clean up, I tried to argue saying I didn't care but she just picked up a once again very sleepy Meredith and put her in my arms,
"Go sit with, Mer, and let me do this," she said laughing, as I felt Meredith snuggle into my I couldn't argue,

It didn't take very long before Ari joined us in the lounge sitting next to me on the sofa, Meredith immediately stretching out over both of us.

I could feel her getting restless on my lap, as I looked down I could see her eyes fighting sleep,

"Shh Meredith have a nap go to sleep," I cooed gently running my fingers through her hair,

"No I'm not tiwed," she replied fighting a yawn,

"Come on baby, have a rest." Ari cooed next to me drawing shapes on Meredith's back,

"I don't want to sleep," Meredith replied, I could here the tears building in her voice, "I don't want to, I don't want to" Meredith starts crying, breaking my heart

"Oh my love, it's ok," Arizona cooed, I can see the worried look on her face,
Neither of us are sure what to do, suddenly I have an idea,
"I'll be your candle on the water,
My love for you will always burn
I know your lost and drifting
But the clouds are lifting.
Don't give up, you have somewhere to turn."

I stared singing, gently running my hand through her hair, as I started singing she seemed to stop crying,

"Baby girl, we will be right here when you sleep," I coo, "do you want me to sing you to sleep?" I asked, and feel her nod in my lap.

"I'll be be your candle on the water,
Till every wave is warm and bright.
My soul is there beside you,
Let this candle guide you.
Soon you'll see a golden stream of light.

I continue singing, watching as her eyes drift shut while she sleeps, her soft snores filling the room and her thumb slowly moving up to her mouth,
"Sleep well baby" Arizona cooed next to me

We just sat there for a while,

"So any idea where two start?" I ask, not really asking but more just getting the conversion started,
"There is a store out on melview avenue that specialises in this kind of stuff." Arizona answered absently mindlessly
"Oh wow, how did you know that" I asked impressed, Arizona took a second to answer, almost as if she wasn't sure how to answer
"I um did some research," she replied,
"Oh well, well done, should we head out there today?" I ask, she once again takes her time to respond,
"It might be a bit overwhelming for Meredith why don't I go and get the stuff then you can stay here with her." She finally replies
"Oh, I hadn't thought about that, ok, so what kinda stuff do we need? I did a bit of research myself this morning, some pacifiers, maybe some more sippy cups? What else?" I ask
"Well it will depend on her regression age, at the moment she's quite young so things like diapers or pull-ups aren't completely out of the question, I'll probably get some bottle as some sippy cups along with some cups and plates for her, I might try and get some baby purée and stuff it might be easier for her to eat, the next step after that would be bigger things like a crib or a toddler bed depending on her age, a change table, I'll probably also get some toys and colouring stuff." Arizona started to explain, I didn't realise how much research she must have done, but she had that look in her eye she gets when she's explaining something she cares about, so I don't stop her.
"She seems ok in her clothes at the moment her hoodies and leggings but I might grab a onesie or two as well as a sleep sack and a few swaddles, she may not want to use them and that's ok but having them is handy, what do you think?" She asks looking at me,
"Sounds perfect, my love," I say smiling as she blushes, "take my card to pay for it, don't worry about the cost, although maybe only get a few toys I think we should take Mer shopping for some toys when she's ready," I answered,
"I agree, do you want me to go now I shouldn't be too long, that way hopefully Meredith stays asleep?" She asks,
"Yeah, if your happy to go," I reply,

Arizona isn't gone lone when Meredith starts to stir, groaning,
"Hey, it's ok take your time." I coo,
"Mmmh, where's Arizona?" She asks sitting up noticing it's just the two of us there.
"She went to the shops, are you ok?" I ask as she sits on the couch beside me, definitely not longer in her little headspace,
"Yeah I'm fine," she replied,
I debate bringing up Ellis without Ari hear but Meredith beats me to it,
"I'll need to go see my mum soon she's going to be furious I haven't been to see her."
At first I'm not quite sure what to say but I try to just let my instincts take over,
"Meredith honey, I don't think going to see your mum is a good idea it's not healthy for you," I explain trying to be as matter a fact as I can.
"But I need to see her," she replies, I can feel the tension building in her voice,
"You don't want to I know that, and it's not healthy not right now either and I know you feel guilty my love, but it's not your fault and right now you can't look after her without looking after yourself first." I explain and let the words sink in for a bit,
"I think, now hear me out," I say before she can interrupt me, "I think well Zona and a I both think you would tell Richard, he was friends with your mum and I think he is in a better position to look after her than you, just right now." I explain the praying I haven't pushed it to far,

I see her think it over in her mind for a second before looking like she was about to say something...
