Clothes

Meredith's POV
Addie and Zona are being so understanding, I feel so cared for and that fact that they both like me not just as some burden they are having to look after but also as well a person, makes me feel so unbelievably lucky,

I still sometimes feel like I am too big and I need to loose weight but I'm trying to trust Addie and Zona. At the moment we are driving to pick up some more of my stuff from my house to move to theirs, if I'm going to stay there more regularly I'll need some more clothes and shoes and everything.

It doesn't take us long to collect everything I don't really have my things, that are mine it was just something that's carried over from my childhood, my mum never really bought me anything so I got used to not having much and I just never felt like I needed anything

"Is that it honey?" Arizona asks as she puts the last of my clothes into the box she'd brought,
"Yep," I say, not really think much of it, I had enough to get by don't need anything else
"My love that was like one pair of jeans and a few under shirts for work, what about your non work clothes and other stuff like shoes and jewellery or even another pair of pjs?" Addison asks
"I don't really have any, I have to me dress that I don't even really like but it gets the job done when I need to be formal and one pair of heels my runner which I'm wearing, I don't really have non-work clothes, and I only need one pair of pjs that's what my mum said I just wash them when I need to." I explain, I don't no why they are surprised I mean sure, I could probably afford to buy some more, and I see stuff in the shops I like all the time but I don't need any more what I have is enough.
"Baby girl..." Addison goes to say something but stops, "I think we should do some shopping, after we get home and you look at the stuff Ari bought you yesterday."
What she bought me stuff, like what stuff?
"You bought stuff for me?" I ask
"Yeah bug I did, I'll show you when we get home I bought you some stuff to year when your little, some jumpers and some more leggings, I hope you like them." Arizona explains smiling at me
I can feel tears building in my eyes, she bought stuff for me?
"Oh baby girl, what's wrong you don't have to wear them if you don't want." Addison coos moving to hug me
"No.. um.. I my mother never bought me anything it's just I'm not used to being bought stuff, my um...mother used to make me work for it, make me earn it I'm just not used to being given stuff thank you Zona." I said running over to hug Arizona,
"I may have bought it but Addie payed for it bug," she explained as she hugged me tight, smiling I reached out for Addie pulling her into the hug.
"Thank you both" I say hugging them tight,
"It's no worries bug, should we go home? Addie asks scooping me up for the hug making me giggle.
As we where leaving Cristina walked in and I froze in Addie's arm I wasn't expecting to see anyone, what am I going to do
"Hey Mer," Cristina said smiling, I couldn't respond I just tucked my head into Addie's neck trying to hide, "Mer is everything ok?"
She asks and I slowly pull my head out from Addie's shoulder and nod,
"Ok, I've missed seeing you around the house, have you been staying with Dr Montgomery and Dr Robbins?" She asks, and I nod again,
"Are you going to move in with them?" She asks, and I'm slightly confused she seems to casual about it there isn't judgement or confusion in her words she's just asking, I nod again
"Ok I'll miss you around the house but I'll still see you at work right?" She asks and I nod again.
"Cool," she said,

Addison's POV

I wasn't sure how Meredith was going to react when Cristina walked in, or how Cristina was going to react, but both seemed ok. Mer seemed to shut down a bit but was still responsive which was good.

"Dr Robbins can I talk to you quickly?" She asks quietly so Meredith didn't here,
"Um sure," I answer nodding to Addie to keep moving,
"Is everything ok Dr Yang?" I ask,
"Yes and please call me Cristina" she replies,
"And please call me Arizona." I reply,
"Is she ok Arizona?" Cristina asks,
"She will be," I reply I don't know how much Cristina knows and it's not my place to tell.
"I knew something was wrong, but every time I tried to get close enough to she pushed me away, sometimes physically, I was so worried Arizona and Derek was being such a dick I knew it wasn't helping," Cristina explains, "I'm glad she's found you and Dr Montgomery, please look after her."
"I would tell you to call her Addison but considering her nickname at work is Satan I feel Dr Montgomery might be better, and we will don't worry, I won't tell you much as it's not my story to tell but Addison and I understand more than you probably realise, we are ok now before you start to worry, so we won't let anything happen to her, I promise." I explain, I'm glad to know Meredith had more people on her side.
"She's fragile, I know that and I'm sure you do too, I'm glad she finally has, if I can help in anyway please let me know, I just want her to be better." Cristina says and I can tell she's genuine,
"Thank you Cristina, she will be ok, and as soon as possible we will have you over but she just needs to settle for a bit get used to her new normal then we will definitely have you over and hopefully she can tell you more about her story." I explain,
"I'd like that, I'll see you at work Arizona." She says before walking into the house allowing me to join Addie and Meredith in the car,

"Was something wrong does she think I'm weird?" Meredith asks before I can even get seated in the car,
"Baby girl no, she didn't she actually just wanted to check you where ok, she cares about you Mer she could tell something was wrong and just wanted to check, I don't think she would ever judge you baby, I did tell her once you where a bit more settled and feeling a bit better we might invite her over, but there is no rush my love." I explain smiling at her,

"Oh, thanks Zona." Mer says smiling, "can we go home?"
"Of course my love, let go home and see all the new clothes you have," I reply smiling,
"Then maybe we can go shopping" Addie adds in a singsong voice, causing me to laugh
"What?" Addie asks
"Nothing my love you just love your shopping don't you." I say winking at Meredith who giggle in the back seat,
"What's not to love." Addie says laughing.

Lots of fun to come, I seem to have my motivation back, I can't promise how long it will last but I'm starting to get into the thick of the story which should help.
