Morning Confessions

Addison's POV

I was once again the first to wake in the morning, I have discovered that Meredith is not an early morning person, so I let her cuddle into Zona who agrees with Meredith's opinions on the morning while I go to kitchen to grab some coffee,

"Addie?" I hear a voice ask from behind me as I look out the window,
"Mmh" I reply turning around not being awake enough have noticed if the voice belonged to Mer or Zona, "good morning my love," I say smiling when I see Meredith standing at the door,
"Morning Addie," she says, but I can tell somethings off
"You ok?" I ask, pulling out the chair next to me, "would you like some milk?" I ask as well trying to keep the conversation going and giving her an out to my previous questions,
"Yes please," she says sitting down, I can tell by the way she's fiddling with her top that something definitely isn't right, but I don't say anything I don't want to push her, instead I just get up to get her milk, grabbing one of the new sippy cups Arizona bought yesterday,
"I wasn't asleep." She says and at first I'm confused what does she mean, so I just turn to look at her,
"Last night, I um... we went to bed and.. I cuddled down into you but I um... I think you...um thought I was asleep but I wasn't." She says refusing to look up at me,
I feel my breath hitch in my throat she was asleep I was sure of it, that means she heard me what if she's not comfortable, what if oh god what have I done, she was finally opening up feeling comfortable and I've just gone and ruined it all because I couldn't keep my big mouth shut,
"Oh Meredith, I um.." but I don't know what to say,
"I um..." she pauses to, "Addie I feel the same way." She says, and I swear my heart restarted in that moment. As a surgeon I know that's not possible but I just the relief I thought I'd ruined everything. I sat back down facing her,
"You do?" I ask and I can hear the insecurity in my voice even after all these years Derek's voice still sits in the back of my mind telling me in worthless and that I don't deserve anyone and that no one would want me,
Meredith just looks at me and nods, I can see the sincerity in her eyes
"The um.. the first day I saw you, I couldn't get you out of my mind, you where beautiful, so beautiful your hair and your legs, you where like a walking supermodel, and then I met you and your where kind and sweet, and even though you try to put out a scary persona I could see you, and I felt something about you, I think on some level I felt you would understand, I didn't know at the time one what level you understood but, and then you are kind and caring, Addie yes I feel the same, and I know your with Zona but I just have to get it off my chest, I feel the same way about her too, she's beautiful and her blonde curls the way the bounce and sway as she moves, and she's kind and caring, and her giggle oh gosh her giggle, it just makes me happy, when I was having hard days I would go up to peds just to hear that giggle and it was make things just a little bit easier." She says, and I can see her smiling, I try to hold back my smile as I make eye contact with the other blonde now standing in the doorway,
"I'm sorry Addie I shouldn't have said anything, you said it while I was asleep, I should have just pretending and oh gosh your dating Arizona that was inappropriate I'm sorry I'll go," she starts to ramble,

"It wasn't inappropriate my love." Arizona says smiling from behind her, "anyone would be lucky to have you talk about them like that,"
"Arizona I didn't I'm sorry," Meredith says jumping to her feet to face Arizona,
"Meredith sweetie breath it's ok," Arizona coos, walking over to Meredith, "Mer honey, I like you too, your beautiful and smart and funny and you deserve so much more than anyone has ever given you, and you have been willing to let down your walls, that you'd built so high, for me and Addie," she says grabbing my hand, as I stand next behind Meredith,
"Meredith, can I kiss you?" She asks gently resting her hand on Meredith cheek,
Meredith nods, but Arizona doesn't move,
"Verbal consent," I say smiling, "considering how much of our own lives we spent not in control, not being listened to, Arizona and I agreed a long time ago, anything even remotely in this area requires verbal consent, I hope you can understand," I say resting me free hand on her shoulder,
"Thank you," Meredith says and I can see tears in her eyes, and I don't know if they are happy or sad ones at the thought of what we've been through but it doesn't matter because she turns back to Arizona smiling, "yes Zona, you can kiss me." She says smiling, Ari leans in connecting her lips with Mer's and I can't help but smile wider,
"Addie?" I hear Meredith ask as she pulls away from Arizona,
"Yeah my love," I answer smiling,
"can I please kiss you?" She asks
"Yes my love, I would love that." I say leaning in and finally letting myself kiss her, savouring the moment before pulling back to smile at the women in front of me.
"Addie, Zona?" Meredith asks, and I can hear a change in her voice,
"Yes, bug?" Arizona answers and it once again amazes me how she picks up on the little hits
"Can I um, stay here permanently not just for a little bit?" She ask, once again fidgeting with her top,
"Of course you can bug," I say smiling, watching as if a weight is lifted of Meredith shoulders and I watch her change, letting herself regress,
"Would you like some milk now bug?" I ask, retuning to the counter,
"Wes pweese," she replies,
"Good girl come sit with me while Addie gets your milk" Ari coos sitting down at the table with Meredith,
"Would you like a coffee, Ari my love?" I ask over my shoulder,
"Definitely," she says with a laugh,
"Pweese Zona you forgot to say pweese." I head Meredith say, and I have to hold back a giggle but let myself when I hear Arizona's melodic one fill the room,
"Your right, sorry Addie, yes please I would love some coffee," I hear Arizona laugh as I turn around both cups in hand,
"Wank you, adwy," Meredith says as I hand her the milk,
"Your welcome bug," I say smiling,
"Here you are my love," I say passing Zona her coffee,
"Thank you Addie," she says smiling, "may I kiss you as well in this beautiful morning sun," she asks as I lean over,
"Please, my love," I say smiling before leaning in to kiss her.
