Starting

Addisons POV

Meredith didn't sleep for long not that I expected her to, at first I could see she was confused when she woke up but as she saw mine and Zona's face she seemed to calm,
"Hey my love, take your time to wake up we aren't in any hurry," Arizona said gently, smiling at Meredith.
"Mmmh" Meredith groaned sitting up,
"Oh baby come here." I cooed lifting her into my lap,
As she did she snuggled into my resting her head on my chest.

After a while she sat up looking between me and Zona

"Adwie, wona we go home now?" She asked, before starting to suck her thumb,
I had to hide my smile as I heard her, she was finally letting herself slip fully,
"Of course bug, do you reckon you can walk or do you want me to carry you" I asked smiling as her
"I'm not bug, and I a big girl I can walk." She said standing up, I couldn't help but laugh,
"What funny Addie?" She asked looking at me her eyes huge with wonder
"Yeah Addie what's funny?" Arizona asked holding back laughter herself
"Nothing, Mer sorry let's go." I said glaring at Ari
"Come on my love, want to hold my hand?" Ari said smiling holding out her hand for Meredith to grab,
"Yes pwease." Meredith happily grabbing Zona's hand.

It doesn't take us long to get home and we are back sitting in the lounge watching whatever kids cartoon series is on at the moment, Meredith is colouring on the floor, we didn't really have much for her to colour with we'll have to go buy some stuff for her, but she seems content drawing with the pencils we did have.

Ari is sitting next to her also sketching, I never realised she liked to draw but she's really good at it.

"Look Addie, I made a picture." Meredith said showing me the paper she'd been working on, it wasn't exactly a masterpiece but she'd had fun and that's all that mattered.
"It's beautiful, honey, should we put it one the fridge?" I asked and although I didn't think Meredith face could light up any more it did,
"The fridge?" She asked with such excitement
"Yeah is that ok?" I asked unsure, I'm glad she's excited but her reaction threw me off a bit
"Mummy said my arts not good enough for the fridge she said it was stupid scribbles that should be in the bin." Meredith said looking down, and my heart broke that poor girl
"Well baby your mummy was wrong, come on you can help me." I say trying to get her focused on the happy things again.

Meredith walked over and clipped her drawing to the fridge, smiling proudly as she did
"It's perfwict" she said
"You're right, but it is perfect." I say smiling
"I'm not a bug, Addie," she says laughing
"Sorry honey," I say,
We make our way back the lounge but instead of joining Arizona on the ground Meredith just sits next to me in the couch resting her head on my shoulder,
"Addie?" She asks quietly
"Yeah, sweet?" I reply,
"Why is my mummy so mean?" She asks and my heart breaks, even when regressed she still knows Ellis is mean, I don't know how to respond."
"Meredith do you want to finish my horse?" Arizona asks, "my hands getting a bit sore." She continues looking back at us
"Yes please, Wona," Meredith said excited quickly swapping placing with Arizona who takes the now free space next to me on the couch resting her head on my shoulder.
"Thank you I didn't know how to answer that." I whisper to Meredith can't hear me.
"I think we need to talk to her about going to visit Ellis I don't think it's helpful," Arizona sighs, reaching to hold my hand
"I agree but we will wait till she's not regressed." I say smiling, "I just want her to remain happy while she can" I continue
"I agree" Ari says smiling at Meredith.

We just sit there for a while before eventually Meredith joins me and Ari on the couch, sitting between us, watching tv.

Arizona's POV

Everything feels so calm right now,  I love it. As I check the time I realise it's about time to start dinner. I think soup may be the way to go it won't be harsh on Meredith stomach but it's still full of nutrients.
"Soup for dinner?" I asked Addison silently
"Sounds good," she replies,
Ok I'll go prepare it,
Meredith whines slightly as I stand up,
"It's ok snuggle into Addie," I say,
"I'm fine." Meredith says looking up at me, "are you going to make dinner?" She asks and I can tell she's stopped regressing
"Yeah I am." I answer, rule number one in this house no lies
"Oh..." Meredith sighs
"I was thinking soup, want to come help me pick out the flavour?" I ask knowing it might help her eat a bit more if she has some control.

Meredith's POV

I don't hate the idea of soup, especially if I get to choose the flavour,
"Ok," I say quickly standing up to follow Zona.
"Ok by the looks of it we have tomato, pumpkin, French onion and... chicken noodle." Arizona says looking at the cans in the pantry.
Um I don't know, definitely not chicken noodle I don't like the texture of the noodles and not which ever one she said with onion.
"Can I see them?" I ask,
"Sure." Arizona says smiling passing me the cans
As I look at the tomato one I notice it's got croutons already in it no, I don't like the texture of those ones they are too soggy.
"Um pumpkin?" I ask unsure, I know Arizona already has one she likes, why am I being different
"Pumpkin is my favourite sounds perfect," Arizona says smiling
Maybe not, I don't know I feel like I'm being difficult I should just eat whatever but it's hard the texture and the smell make me feel ill.
